Mixed Bag
Pros: - App control and hub integration for convenient monitoring. - Impressive customization options for a smart experience. Cons: - Challenging setup process. - Limited motion detection range; effective only within 5 meters. - Falls short of advertised distance in real-world usage. Summary: While the Outdoor Motion Sensor offers app control and extensive customization, its setup complexity and disappointing motion detection range, far from the advertised distance, left me dissatisfied. Returned the product due to unreliable performance outside the 5-meter range. Potential for improvement with future updates.

Very good, although first unit failed
The system is excellent - the range is absolutely amazing and the sensor being PIR gives far fewer false positives than my camera based sensors. The set up and integration with Alexa is also very simple and works very well (can make Alexa devices respond to motion). The initial speaker hub failed though, fortunately just inside Amazons return window (who refunded in full and I bought a replacement), however if not I think it would have been difficult to get value for money from the Yolink warranty as they appear to be US based and you have to pay for return postage.

Stopped working after 3 months
The sensor stopped working after just 3 months. Trying to claim under consumer rights but unable to contact seller.

This can not be relied to work consistently.
The whole point of a motion sensor is that it works each & every time, particularly this one, as I want to know when someone or a vehicle has come down my drive. Sadly this does not do the job. It has a strong signal to the hub, & after contacting customer support to help with the set up, which has areas that are very complicated to understand it worked. Then it has decided to only work intermittently! All very frustrating, & at the moment a waste of money, as it can not be relied on!

Love this thing!
I was looking for a way to be notified when someone comes up my driveway because my ring camera doesn’t always alert me by the time they get to the top of my driveway. So initially I purchased a popular owl driveway alarm which did work well. But it wasn’t smart. I wanted something that would not only alert me via a speaker, I also wanted on alerts on devices I always carry with me like my smartphone or Apple Watch. Fortunately this device fits the bill. If you want a driveway alarm that is reliable and is also smart, you should purchase this. PROS - Get alerts from the speaker hub, email, smart phone app notifications and sms. - easy to set up. It took more time to screw the thing to a tree then to actually pair it to the app. - Water and weather Resistant. There is a nice rubber seal on the inside to prevent water from getting in. - Works from far away. I have mine at the end of my driveway which is about 100-200 feet away and the signal is strong. - Very little delay from when a car or person passes through the sensor to the alert that is sent to the speaker hub and your smart phone. - The app is very flexible in terms of set up and the type of alerts you can get. - You can have the speaker hub say exactly what you type or upload your own Audio. CONS - I feel like I’ve had a few false alerts. But it may be because it’s an animal running by that triggers it which I can’t see. - Speaking of can’t see, I wish this had a camera attached to it. It would be a killer combo. I’ve been using a lot of the YoLink products because they are so easy to set up and work really well. Even if you lose WiFi these devices are set up to still work which I love. I wish YoLink made more smart home products because I would buy them all.

Battery life, very consistent in sending alarm activity.
The battery strength has been excellent. I am in SE Minnesota and a few weeks ago the low temperatures were 0 or below for about 7 days. One day -20 with -50 wind chill and batteries done excellent. It was difficult to set up but had excellent help from there service getting that done.

4 star product
Provides exactly the support I was looking for as a driveway monitor. Fine-tuning the settings was a bit of a challenge (it isn’t necessarily intuitive) but we got there. I’m interested in how we might expand use of the system.

Overall a GoodDrivewayMonitor
Alerts me when person or vehicle comes up my very long driveway - and nice to have the phone alert wherever I am. Be aware - the sensor is triggered by heat - so the occasional deer will trigger it. Also, if a vehicle isn't warm enough it won't alert - hasn't happened often, but a car just turned on that's still cold won't alert. I did have to uninstall & reinstall the app to get the hub to connect to a new network. Overall very satisfied.

Good long distance range for a wireless motion detector.
Using this for detecting cars coming up a long driveway. It has excellent range and good battery life. Careful positioning will help with false alarms so don't be afraid to move it around to tune it. One of the neighbors cat was very good at triggering it and it seemed malicious. I use a pair of the and some code in Home Assistant to reduce false alerts and determine coming or leaving. The stand alone box is very handy since it can be moved around the house as needed to have a quick warning anywhere you need it. The interoperability with Home Assistant has been rock solid. I consider this the most important feature for the connected home.
