Works really well. My chair at my sewing table is secure and no longer try to roll away with me. Plenty of space for me to move my chair back and forth and side to side, and still stay on the mat. The mat was rolled up when it arrived and secured with zip ties and I was afraid that it would not lay flat at the ends where it had been rolled, but I placed my chair on the mat and as it warmed up it settled flat with no problem and sits flat on my hardwood floor. Its a nice thickness, and easy to clean up. As I mentioned I’m using it at my sewing table which means lots of thread and bits of fabric, they sweep off easily, and its also textured just enough that my vaccum is able to clean it. So far I am pleased, and its working as I expected.

I unpacked the mat a couple days ago. At first it wasn't flat because it was rolled up in a box for shipping. It was flattened out a lot over the past couple days. I expect it will be completely flat in a few more days. Initially I oriented the mat width wise, but found that I roll back and forward more than side to side. I have the mat depth wise and it works better this way for me. The length of the mat is enough to cover the distance from scooting the chair out to stand up or scooting all the way in. I purchased this to protect our floor from scruff marks caused by the casters on my office chair. At first the mat slid around a little bit. Now that it's mostly flattened out it stays in place.

I needed a nice chair mat for my home office. However, all the ones I saw were too big and in clear plastic. As this is my office, I decorate it the way I please. No pastels, flowers or frou-frou please. I went for a nice wood desk and floor with black office furniture and fixtures. So, imagine how pleased I was to find this nice mat on Amazon at the right size, price and of course, color. Booyah! But you probably want to know about the mat, yes? First, it has a good thickness to it and it doesn't have that awful chemical smell from China that you have to air out for days. Just open up the box and put it on floor. No stinky smell. However, there are a couple of issues. It is hard to keep flat on the floor. It must have been rolled up from the day of manufacture. So, I have placed various items to help flatten it. If it doesn't work I'll update this review. Also, as it is black, you see the dust, dirt and lint on it. However, that's true of all my black furniture and fixtures so it's not a big deal. That is the price you pay for a good manly look. You just need to clean it off regularly. (Look I have mustache that requires regular grooming...so what?) So, if you want a nice size office mat in a manly black, this is for you.

Bought this mat for under my desk at home. Had a really hard time finding on that would fit since my desk is not typical, but decided that I could probably just lift one end of the desk and set it on the mat if need be. This mat is thin enough that I was able to do this without having to wedge anything under the other side to make up for the inbalance. I cannot speak to the durability of the mat, since I have only had it a couple weeks, but I can say that I did not have any trouble getting it to lay flat. I put mine in my living room with gallon jugs of water on the corners and within a couple hours, the mat was flat enough to position on the floor under the desk. I could see where if you were taking your rolling chair on and off the sides a lot that it would start to curl up the lip, but isn't the whole point of the chair mat to not allow the rolling chair to come into contact with the wood floor? Overall, a great buy for the price. Time will tell if it holds up as well as I hope!

Its nice but doesnt stay in place

Does not hold up to daily use. This mat does not stay in place. The edges of the mat curl up and get caught on the middle cylinder at the base of the chair. If you have to roll off the mat for any reason then it's practically impossible to roll back on the mat without getting caught up on the raised areas. I am very disappointed in the quality.

I personally love this mat it's perfect something which is hard to find sometimes but you can trust this one it works just like described. Good quality, No smell, Very easy to set up, It's not too thick nor too thin, Rollability is smooth. It's perfect.

Chair mats did seem to be of good quality, laid down flat after a day of being down and seemed like they were going to be great. But then....2 weeks later the edges are rolling up and can't keep them from scooting around. I wouldn't recommend.

This mat moves around on flooring quite a bit. It came rolled up and it took some time to uncurl, it still possesses a triping hazard. Not recommend.
