How loud is it when running? Noticeably louder than a shop vac? Wondering if I should install it in a separate room.

It’s actually quieter than a shop vac.

Can this be mounted to the wall?

To add it to a wall you would have to fabricate a mount for it to work. The motor is very heavy so make sure you used thick steel to make a mount. I do recommend this unit. It is very powerful and does the job.

Can you reroute 4" hose to a drum than back to the filter bag?

Short answer, yes, you can. However, I opted to route the hose from the tool (DeWalt planer) to a 4-inch dust deputy and drum, then to the WEN dust collector. My reasoning was to limit the amount of chips / dust going through the impeller. With this setup, I have only had to empty the bag once in the last year. That time although was my fault because I wasn't paying attention. The collection drum under the dust deputy was full and the chips / dust was just passing through to the WEN. Overall, I've been pretty happy with this setup even though it is pretty basic.

Great unit

Good effective unit

This thing is a beast. It is quite tall has a lot of suction. 1100 cfm . All the nuts and bolts are metric so if you are not use to metric sizes it will be a little bit harder figuring it out. All in all I’m very happy with this thing.

Not worth the buy

I do not really like this dust extractor. It does not work well, the suction is not the best on it, and it will throw wood chips and dust out of the secondary hole sometimes. Not to mention it did not come with all the bits and bolts and they wanted me to pay to get them to Canada. I am absolutely not happy with this company as I was looking forward to using them but they did not turn out to who I thought they would be.
