Q: Is it really sparkly or just a bit shiny?

The mosaic glass is sparkly, and the pump button is shiny.

Q: How long is this supposed to last? I had it only a few months and the silver color started to erode off and the pump broke into 4 pieces...

Wow! Are you using a harsh cleaner? My pump is still perfect and the finish is fine. I just wipe it off with a damp soft cloth every day. The pump itself sometimes sticks a little but it distributes the perfect amount of soap with just one push. What I really like is that it doesn't rust! I've used lots of dispensers and this is my favorite. I will say that they could improve the packaging when shipping. The product shifted a lot in shipment and there was a slight chip on the tumbler I ordered.

Q: where can I buy a replacement pump for this dispenser?

Should be standard size. Try any store that handles bath towels and bath accessories. Should be a display of pumps. Take the broken pump with you so you get the correct size. Or contact Dwellza through Amazon.

Q: Can you use hand lotion in the soap dispenser?

I have only used hand soap in mine; not sure that lotion would work?
