Now reasonably priced and worth it
This filter has recently dropped to around 50%-60% of its $25 retail price. At this price, it's easier to make the choice to use it.We have been using it on our Saeco machine since we bought it 18 months ago. In our region it is not really required for preventing limescale from building up, but it improves the taste of the water and filters out unnecessary particles resulting from pipes corrosion and so on. So - better coffee :)We have been happy with it and appreciate the price reduction. Please note that your machine should support this type of filter (and not the Intenza filter for example).

IT WORKS !
We recently replaced our Gaggia Platinum Vision Swing after 8 years of loyal service with an upscale Gaggia Babila. Being quite different dimensions the water filter was also a different size to our previous Intense model...and considerably more expensive. The manufacturer states that if we replace the Saeco AquaClean filter every 3 months then the machine will not need to be decalcified for 5000 brews. We just purchased our 2nd AquaClean filter after waiting a month or so for it to be back in stock. The price has gone up from $20 to $22 so that is not ok. However we now own a great $2000 espresso machine ( bought from Amazon ) so that is the cost of taking care of business !

High quality filter for 500 cups
It seems that many buyers here are upset because these filters wont last for 5000 cups... NOTE, use of these filters will prevent the need for descaling up to 5000 cups, the filters last for 500-600 cups so after 8 or 10 filters, possibly years down the road, descaling will need to be performed. In other words, the use of this $16 filter will greatly extend the life of my $1800 Xelsis! That is quite a bargain IMHO... enjoy that great espresso and cappucino!!!

Quality Filter
First let me say how long this will last is undetermined since I have only had it a week and brewed a few dozen shots in my Saeco Incanto. However I am reviewing now for the quality of the product which is well made and solid. I know there are aftermarket knock offs for everything, but typically they never come close to the manufactures quality, and for $25 for pure water for 5,000 cups or shots that's a good deal. So instructions are clear, need to put in water upside down to get the air bubbles out, install it in the water tray, and works as advertised. I have pretty good water so I don't think I would notice a "taste" difference, however I got it more for the decalcification of the water and being able make my boiler last longer and go longer between decalcifying. Overall its a nice filter, and twice the sixe of the old ones so I can see how it would last loger just based on that fact.

Compatible with Gaggia Babila
Got it on Amazon and half of the price with other online coffee shops. Looks exactly like the original one that came with my Babila and it works perfectly. Price tend to fluctuate a little. I will buy multiple when I see it onsale.

Will Work on Saeco Royal / Magic Comfort / Etc Water Tanks
I purchased this specifically to see if it would fit and be a candidate for a replacement for the AquaPrima water filter I use on my Saeco Magic/Saeco Royal coffee makers. Good news. It fits. It is a little different in the design and so it looks different inside. I just installed it today and it appears to work great. So this is what I will use going forward. (It is frustrating that the mfg doesn't list this compatibility on the product) but I guess since they never sold or supported the older model Saeco machines that must be why they don't list them.

Always us OEM filters
Great price and this is also the Calcium filter along with activated charcoal.Used these for two years and no scaling. Descale once a year. Well worth the price. This is cheaper than at retail store. Took Intelia machine apart for annual cleaning and check/replacement of parts, found crystal clear tubing and hoses, no scaling in boiler, relay valves still seal perfectly. Machine is 5 years old. Remember to celan and lube brew group! some lube on silicone gaskets makes them last linger and seal better.

This is very easy and fast to use
I order one when I have used the last one so I never run out. You just unfasten the old one, actually just pull it gently out. Then you submerge the new one in water until the bubbles stop, and then put it in where the old one was. Easy. It takes less than a minute, counting time for the bubbles to stop.
