do you need rubber cement ?

Rubber cement will help lubricate the string during insertion and make a better bond in the tire. Rubber cement may not be necessary but it makes the repair job easier.

I bought these for automotive tires, but the package says "Wheelbarrow, Mower". Can these be used on radial passenger tires?

Not sure if the label reads "Wheelbarrow, Mower" as a suggested use or for legal reasons. In the "professional" tire industry on-the-wheel wheel repairs like plugs are not recommended and are considered temporary. I have use this method for years without any problems. As long as the puncture is cleaned and dressed properly the plug should last for the life of the tire.

Are these soft so they go on to the tire easy? The black ones I had that were harder & will not go into the tire. Thx
