Looks like OEM, fits perfect

This week, I purchased a Samsung dryer model DVE50BG8300V. I went online and found that to replace this filter, prices went as high as $160 +. I wanted to have a replacement filter down the road if and when the filter that came with the dryer failed due to the flexing that occurs during cleaning. This replacement filter fits perfectly with no air gaps and the price was very reasonable. I was prepared to return it if it did not fit, but it now will be stored away for when the original fails.

After looking around on a few different websites and checking out a few different products on Amazon I was almost going to settle for one that was 1/8” off because other people said it still worked however I found this one and the measurements were perfect! I just got this a couple days ago and if it’s perfectly, and I’ve already used it a few times and it catches the lint however, let’s see how long it lasts. The original one that came with my Samsung dryer lasted about nine years since that’s how long I had it if I can get at least a couple years out of this I’ll be happy since I’ll most likely be replacing the unit by then anyways. It seems durable and again fits perfect and probably under half the price if I would’ve bought from Samsung and even $20 cheaper than if I bought it from a parts store. If you’re buying one for your washer, just do a double safety check as far as the fit goes. .1 check out the measurements/specs on this unit and measure your old one to see if it’s similar because originally I was gonna get one that was close but it was 1/8 inch off .2, you should have a product code on your dryer machine and in the description of this filter, it’ll tell you all the numbers it’s compatible with and if you don’t see your number, it might fit similar, but it won’t be perfect. Definitely take the time to make sure it’s the right one!

I haven’t had this very long but I can tell you it is the same as the original that came with my dryer. Some of the other replacements have mesh with very tiny grid mesh and my dryer kept showing that there wasn’t enough ventilation. With this one I haven’t seen the indicator come on and my dryer is working fine. This is easy to clean lint from and is easily opened. If you have any issues opening it it’s because you need to lift slightly while opening. Well worth buying. I would recommend and buy again. I will update if any changes after using for more than 4 days
