Does the case fit an Apple Pencil 1st generation?

I do have an iPad 10th generation and an ipencil 1st generation . In all honesty, I am returning this case . I wanted something sturdy . This is kind of flimsy . I paid a lot $$$ for both iPad and ipencil . I want more protection than this case offered . I cannot recommend this item to you as I was very disappointed with it .
