did this Temple-concept solidify after 70?
I'm late into this, but the book has some insights into the "Spiritual temple" and the Believers as constituent parts thereof. It is common to think that Paul was the originator of this, and commended it to Peter, but we are forced to examine the possibility that both of them got it from the sectaries at Qumran. This also speaks to questions of Jewish theology at the post-Temple era, and even the post-JERUSALEM era. If there is no longer a cultic locus, the Temple is where the Righteous are-dispersed through the known world.Millennial-Temple partisans might also ponder whether they are to re-establish a "House of Prayer" or a "House of Sacrifice", a question which *might* have been rending the !st Century Jewish world, that The Almighty wanted good works to atone for sins, not burnt animals.James the Righteous is smiling, his teachings survive.Just what *was* the relationship of the Apostolic Assembly to the Qumran Community? Because the Qumran library contains miniutae about sacrifice and slaughter, does that mean that they still practiced it? Because the Talmud contains the penalty of strangulation for a woman's adultery, does that mean Jewish communities follow it?
