I get 900mbs on 5G indoors, do you think additional aerials would be necessary.

I have never been able to get an aerial to work with this. A few other reviews/questions seem to indicate that it is not possible. I tried several methods to get an aerial to work without success. There is a company that will fit proper aerial connectors to the unit ( online search). My view would be to forget aerials.

Is the mc888 actually mc888 or mc801, the description is confusing

the zte 5g cpe MC888 is different from the Mc801 . externally the first difference is between the mc801 there are no external areal connections, and is fractionally bigger vertically due to the top gray difference. internally the 801 used a mediatek chipset the MC888 uses the QUALCOMM x62 data chip which is significantly faster, other changes are it 5g duel mode which allows true 5g data transfer speeds, i have owned both models in the past and can clearly see the difference. for best performance i still recommend using one of the two Ethernet connections, to answer another common question the device doesn't support network fall over. the wifi isn't much better but does support more devices the document states upto 64 devices my own testing shows it does allow for a typical home and smart devices to be back online but see it capped to about 100-200 mbs, naturally the device also has no fixed ip option for 5g/4g.

i would be using this on 4/5G for gaming , is it easy to set up for xbox and is there a Bridge Mode

It has 2 rear ethernet ports, wifi6 and bridge mode. Do you Xbox can either plug in directly or use the WiFi. It is very easy to setup.
