I recently chopped all of my hair off and have been trying different ways to style it. This straightener is perfect for what I need. Since my hair is so short, the longest pieces are 2-3" long, my old straightener was too big to work effectively. The size of this straightener works well for my pixie cut. It heats up fast. I have very thick hair, so the high temperature is around what I usually use when I straighten my hair. I do wish there was temperature control or options, but for the price, I can't be too picky about it. I love the insulated storage bag it comes with! You don't have to wait for it to cool down. You stick the straightener in the pocket and the cord in the outside pocket of the bag. It's very innovative. Overall, I highly recommend this straightener if you need a small one and one that will travel easily.

What an awesome and compact little hair straightener! I used this a decent amount on my trip to Europe and along with a little outlet converter it worked great! It never seemed too hot, and the protective sleeve for it worked really well when I had to leave quickly. The cord was strong and the iron never burned anything when I set it down. It heated up relatively quickly, which was nice for my fast-paced trip and early morning departures. This fit really well in my suitcase, and I could straighten my thick hair with little to no problem. It is a little small, so it did take a bit longer to straighten, but with such a compact item I couldn't ask for better! My hair gets very staticky and tends to poof, but the flat iron worked well despite that, and I could even do some small curls! Worked in every major country over there!

I wanted a small straightener to take when I travel. This works very well. It heats up fast. The heat panels are a little small so you have to do multiple sections but that’s to be expected because it’s small. I also really like the travel case. The iron part fits in one packet and the cord fits in an outside pocket so it’s easy to pack and use. I also like the heat resistant liner. After and during using the straighter, I test the hot portion on the travel cases heat resistant section of the cases close cover. This way, I know it’s cooling safely. Great product! I highly recommend it.

Perfect for swim bag. Good size. Easy to use. Enough heat to straighten short hair. Like the heat resistant bag for storing.

I got this to take to basic training so I could keep my fly aways back. It is very small. It worked for what I needed it. It is definitely not for everyday use though!

I read dozens of reviews before ordering this and concluded that experiences differ due to different types of hair and expectations. I was a little worried, but I am so glad I got it, because it worked perfectly for me. I have thick, medium textured, curly/wavy hair that frizzes easily, especially in humid weather. My hair is medium length (just touching shoulders) and starting to go grey. My goal was not to get it totally smooth (practically impossible!) but rather to get it so that I wasn't embarrassed to go out in public, with it frizzy and sticking out horizontally (Bozo-like). I wasn't at all sure that it would be powerful enough. I am happy to say that I loved it. The voltage worked perfectly in Ireland and England; you do need a plug converter. It heated up immediately, much more quickly than my regular big straightener, and also cooled off quickly when turned off. I really liked the way it could get close to my part (where a lot of frizz happens). It was surprisingly powerful. It was fantastic for touch-ups. After I washed my hair, when it is most curly, it did well; in 10 minutes, it had subdued my hair enough that I was fine going out in public. The little case is great, and it slipped into my luggage seeming to take no space. Luckily Ireland/England were not as humid as it gets in the summer where I live (where it can be really hard to straighten my hair with any straightener). I showed it to my 20-something daughter, who immediately ordered one and found it worked well on her trip; her hair is straighter and not quite as thick as mine but her standards of straightness are also higher. Anyway, this was one of my favorite travel purchases ever, and I plan to use it at home as well. Hope your experience is as fantastic.

I bought this because I travel to Europe frequently and my regular flat iron won't work there even with a plug adapter. This has a US plug but still works in foreign countries. I have used it in South America and Mexico as well as Europe. This is nice for traveling because it's fairly compact and comes with a pouch you can put a warm iron into. It heats up really quickly and does a great job. It is a bit annoying that it takes longer to do my hair because of the size, but it's perfect for travel.

I got this flat iron to use at work, at my desk, and as a replacement for an older flat iron which pulled the mess out of my hair. I needed something travel sized, narrow, and quick warming for emergencies (because I don't always get it right first thing in the morning before I leave for work). I purchased this unit due to reviews and price. Overall, I'm happy with it, but I truly wish I got something with a 6-foot cord. Losing that one foot is more of a big deal than I thought it would be. If I were using this in a bathroom with a receptacle that is mid-wall height, then I'd be okay, but since I'm plugging this in near the floor, the reach is terrible. I can only use this while sitting down. Second minor issue is that it would have been nice if it had a swivel cord. The swivel will greatly reduce cord kinks and twists. But, this unit does not pull my hair thanks to its smooth, floating panels. It heats up super quick, but it only has one heat setting and I can't tell you what that is, but I know it's not as hot as my full-size Chi at home. I recommend this due to price and it works well.

Works excellent for travel. Compact, decent heat, warms up and cools quickly. Takes longer because the plates are smaller so you have to do your hair in smaller sections, but it gets the job done.
