I don't think so. The centre drill bit is actually welded to the hole saw. There are other hole saws out there that are two pieces (the hole saw and the arbor). But I would think that without the drill bit the hole saw would slip around as you started to first drill. That is just my opinion. I hope that helps. Best wishes 👍

What diameter is the pilot bit

The pilot drill is 6mm. HS drill.

No, this is for light metal, plastic and maybe can be used on thin wood. You will need a diamond core hole saw.
