SwitchBot Thermometer Hygrometer, Bluetooth Indoor Humidity Meter and Temperature Sensor with App Control, Large LCD Display, Notification Alerts, Data Storage Export, Remote Monitor for Home (2 Pack)

Does what I wanted good app simple pure data over time.

Bought the two pack to start, with the intent of pairing the Switchbot temp sensor to our Lutron controlled fans in all of our rooms. Started with the Kitchen and Family Room, Kitchen is at the front of house with full South exposure, Family Room is at the back of house in a more shaded area. As the photos show there is a 5 degree temperature difference (68 - Kitchen, 63 Family Room, as shown in the photos). I rated accuracy 4 stars for 1 reason only. I am paranoid about accurate readings, so upon initial sensor setup, I followed the manufactures calibration steps and procedure. Once I completed the procedure, the displayed temperature was 1 degree off (used 32degrees as benchmark), like I said i'm a bit paranoid. Now in all fairness they say the accuracy is +/- .4 to .7 degrees, and both sensors were off by 1 degree, I'm sure these sensors are calibrated at the factory, but I just wanted to check for myself and see what they were actually set at. Using Switchbot products to setup automations in the native app works flawlessly, and should be the main goal. However when using multiple manufacturers for the automations, in my case Switchbot temp sensors and Lutron fan control switches, the automations still work well, however this can only be accomplished by using "If This Then That" (IFTTT), and should be considered a temporary automation, as the manufactures listed are not guaranteed to remain as a part f the IFTTT orbit. The whole Alexa thing is confusing because only voice commands for temperature work, humidity levels are not yet supported. In addition Alexa routines cannot be used because most manufacturers devices are not listed or available when creating routines. Hopefully IFTTT remains a viable, well recognized solution. The future as of now is a little unsettled as well, with the introduction of the MATTER standard, which is suppose to resolve many of the connectivity and linking/enabling issues that are currently encountered. Sounds like one of those baby steps plans, with more clarity and definition coming later this year and moving forward. Until then I'm continuing with my smart home design and implementation using reputable devices/components. Switchbot being one of them and at the top of my list!!

I bought two of these to monitor the humidity levels in my basement where I keep my acoustic guitars. The first thing I did after I set them up was to compare them in the same area and I was quite pleased to see how accurate they are. The humidity level numbers matched each other exactly at 34% and the temperature for both was 64° which is what my thermostat was set to. Now I know for sure it’s on the dry side down there in winter and I’ll need to add a humidifier. I’m sure there are more functions available if I were to download the app, but since I only need them for this one purpose I probably won’t bother.

UPDATE: I am so impressed with this company and their commitment to their product and customer service. They contacted me because of my review and were very concerned that I was having an issue with the meter. They were very responsive and worked until the issue was resolved. I would not hesitate to purchase any of their products again. Ten stars to them!! I chose this because of the longer Bluetooth connectivity range. This has not been my experience with these meters. I particularly needed one that I could monitor in a greenhouse tent that is far less distant from the house than the stated distance in the description. However, it would not connect to the app from the house. I put one of the meters in a room next to the living room and it connects with no problem. I moved the one from the greenhouse and put it in a seedling tray where I have some things fermenting and it won’t connect to the Bluetooth from there either even though it is separated only by a plastic dome and is inside the house. I will keep the but am just unable to use them as intended.

These are great little thermometers, but if you're going to use them as smart devices, you should purchase them in a bundle with the hub mini or get the hub mini on its own. If you don't have the hub, you can't use voice assistants, and you have to use bluetooth to read in the app. When you get the hub, you can see what temperatures are anywhere, and you can setup alerts for when an area gets too cold or hot. I currently have 4 of these scattered throughout the house and I have the hub mini, so I can ask Google what the temperature or humidity in any of the rooms I've placed them are. I'm thinking about getting another device, and placing it out in an external garage to monitor the temperature out there. I have a mesh network at home, and the devices are scattered throughout the house, and I've had no issues getting readings from any of the devices.

I now have a total of six SwitchBot devices that provide temperature and humidity readings. They all work very well and the battery life seems to be close to two years. Due to the energy saving features, my wifi network controller sometimes shows these devices as off line, but they will wake up when queried. Data is sent to the hub using Bluetooth, not wifi. For a large home, you may need multiple hubs or a SwitchBot relay to ensure adequate Bluetooth range. Temperature and humidity readings seem to be well with the advertised specs. I chose this model because the display is much easier to read than the cheaper version. Now, with a glance at my mobile app or a quick question to Alexa, I know the status all around my home -- basement, attic, garage, patio, etc.

Seem to work just fine. I only wanted the thermometers. Since I’ve not tried to connect them through WiFi, I can’t comment on that.

I purchased this after reading an online article. I ordered them and they they arrived without incident dent. I had them open and installed to home assistant in about 10 minutes for both of them. They we're automatically discovered. I did need to install an app. They connect via Bluetooth, one directly to the home assistant raspberry pi, and the other via a Bluetooth proxy. I already had. All the normal home assistant utilization and graphing information is available to me. I almost immediately ordered two more. Really can imagine how set up could be any more straightforward. Highly recommend

Ich selber habe inzwischen 10 Stück in Nutzung und überwache damit sämtliche Räume des Hauses um ggf. per Automation die Heizung zu erhöhen (Schimmelvorbeugung) oder frühzeitig die Fenster zu öffnen wenn die Wäsche mal bisschen mehr Feuchtigkeit abgibt. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass das Switchbot Thermometer eine hervorragende Investition für alle ist, die ihren Wohnkomfort verbessern und über die Temperatur- und Luftfeuchtigkeitswerte in ihrem Zuhause informiert bleiben möchten.

Great product! So i’ve added 2 meters plus to measure the temperature difference between 2 sides of the living room, when in summer that way i can close the curtains when the temperature goes up and it stays nice and cool. In winter it does the opposite, when the temperature goes up it means the sun is shining and the curtains open so it can warm up the house.

Après en avoir acheté 6 au fil des dernières années, je suis très satisfait de ces thermomètres connectés. Leur utilisation est simple et intuitive, et l’intégration avec un hub ainsi que dans un système domotique comme Home Assistant se fait sans aucun problème. La qualité est au rendez-vous : les relevés sont fiables, la connexion stable, et différents systèmes d’accroche sont proposés pour faciliter l’installation dans toute la maison. L’autonomie est également appréciable, je remplace les piles environ une fois par an. En résumé, un produit pratique, robuste et parfaitement adapté à un usage domestique connecté. Je recommande sans hésitation.

Ho comprato questi prodotti perché ho già un hub con il quale gestisco un climatizzatore di vecchia data che potevo gestire solo con il telecomando. E pensavo di collegassero all’hub. Invece si connettono al wireless di casa in autonomia. Facile configurazione. Applicazione ottima per la lettura e gestione delle informazioni. Piccoli ed efficaci. I rilevatori esterni sono impermeabili e discreti. Molto precisi in tutto. Li ho collegati ad Alexa, per implementare il controllo dell’ambiente. In questo modo ho infinite possibilità di gestione della temperatura in casa creando degli automatismi in tandem con i climatizzatori. Sono pienamente soddisfatto. Rapporto qualità/prezzo decisamente superiore.
