What is the maximum weight limit for the storage pockets to hold? per pocket or max limit for curtain?

Mine didn't have storage pockets either. Sending it back.

Are the pocket's designed to go outside or inside of the shower?

The pockets are for inside to hold shampoo and body wash. this is your inside water proof liner then you put another cloth like one on the outside that covers it. Since this one is see through. We had one for years and the kids loved it. Since we moved, they asked for it for the the new place. They love it a lot. It keeps the shampoos and such off the base of the tub and the rims. My only complaint is that it is difficult to clean but any shower liner is. you have to in and pull it closed and use a scrub brush for it to get soap grime off of the base of the curtain. The pockets are deep and can hold alot. the rings are made from metal to reinforce for tearing. I would use metal curtain holders not the plastic ones. definitely worth the purchase.
