I LOVE these lights! I originally bought them so I didn't have to turn on the overhead lights and wake myself up even more on those middle of the night bathroom trips. They work much better than a standard night light, due to the motion detector. After 5+ years, the light bulb part finally gave out on my two oldest ones, and I had to replace the entire units. Other than that one design flaw, I can't imagine going back to any other "nightlight"! I have them in all of my bathrooms including my camper, and only have to change the 3 AA batteries around once a year. They are easy to clean with disinfectant wipes while you are doing your normal toilet scrubbing, and the flexible arm does a great job of gripping them in place, and away from splashing! My folks thought they were hilarious and odd when they first stayed with me and saw them years ago... and a few days after they'd left, my mom called and asked where I'd gotten them! 🤣 she promptly ordered 4 of them for all their toilets and camper! Definitely recommend, if you are looking for a fun twist on a nightlight!

Great product, serves as a night light

I don't know what I should consider to be a reasonable life for one of these. I bought mine mid-July of last year, so it's lasted a bit under a year and a half. Somehow, it seems to me that something like this should last longer than a year and a half. I've only just now needed to replace the batteries for the first time. After doing that, and confirming that the batteries are 100% (with a battery tester), it will only do red. No matter what I do with the button, following the instructions in the manual to change colors and to set it back to "carousel mode", it just won't ever show me anything other than red. Of all colors, that's the one I *least* want to see. Maybe if it had gotten stuck on a sort of medium blue, I'd keep using it. While it was working, it was great. It did exactly what it was supposed to do and did it well. Now I'm having to throw it away after just 14 or 15 months and that really sucks. I'll go find a different one to order. One funny thing about these -- there only seem to be like 3 different units being sold as 8,000 different brands. You'll see 2,000 different listings for toilet lights that are all this exact one. Only the name on the front is different. I'll avoid all of the ones re-branding this one, though. For something with no moving parts and no complexity, all I can figure is either the quality of the few components used in it were very low and short-lived or they didn't protect this well enough from moisture seeping in over time.
