This bowl is great, I was a little apprehensive because some of the reviews mentioned that the bowl moves around but I put it on a rubber mat anyway, I do wish the base of it was a little heavier, but that is a personal preference thing , I’m using the 8 ounce bowl for a cat and I only use it for the her wet food because the refills are a little bit expensive but worth it I think .. that being said, I would check the way before I use it for a K9 .. but maybe with bigger size bowl made offset that that issue, also, the frame didn’t come with very many bowls… I didn’t count them because I ordered refills anyway, but it only comes with 10 of them or something .. which would be perfect if you just want to test it with your pet .. it again, and I have recommended it with several friends or family members ..

With a 13 year-old dog whom everyone in the family adores, but no one (except Mom) remembers to feed, the Kleanbowl has provided a nice solution. With three teenagers and busy adults, Lucy (the dog) is typically fed right before we rush out the door. Not having to clean out the dirty bowl before serving her, has encouraged more family members to step up and take care of our remarkably patient pet. Given her age we also want to give her less exposure to germs, so she will stay healthy and live as long as possible. Kinn bowls have been a great way to support her healthy living. As a gardener I also love that the bowls are compostable.

I was so sick of washing cat food bowls, as our kitty is a picky eater and due to his condition, he has to have wet food, which he always leaves much in the bowl when he’s done eating. So gross to clean out, especially if you don’t do it right away. I thought I was a genius to come up with the idea of a disposable liner, and thought someone else must have already done so. I googled it and found this! Two days later and I couldn’t be happier! No more gross cat feeding station, even the broth style food doesn’t soak thru the liners somehow, it’s leakproof, sturdy, and seems healthier for our boy who means the world to us. After spending thousands on his health care, the pricing for this item and refills is well worth it to me and the value for the money fits our expectations. I’ve packed up all his other bowls and this is it for us! Thank you!

These are nice keeps the disposable bowls from sliding but the refills are expensive. fYI shared ones I tried and these are a fraction of the price and fit and work perfect with these bowls. My cat loves to drink water from the Kleanbowl. It is so easy and quick to get a fresh clean bowl everyday. I just remove the bowl holder, compost the old one and get a fresh clean bowl. My cat is super happy and healthy. The metal holder is made from quality and has some weight to keeps things from sliding around. Shipping was super fast. I also bought the Refill pack. I was always worried am I getting the water bowl clean enough there is always slime in my old water bowl (which was a plastic bowl) that I just felt like I could not remove, I wanted to use bleach or something to clean it but worried about making my cat sick .

I use these bowls to feed outdoor cats and they are awesome! Plus, they are waterproof! They survive rain storms in the summer! Yes, they are lightweight and they are not skid proof. But, I stack three bowls for a light weight at a time so when it is time to feed, I remove the used bowl on top to reveal the clean bowl underneath. I do think the price is too high and would like to find them cheaper as they are still disposable bowls.

I've ordered two of these bowls. The first one was the 2 cup size. I thought this would be sufficient since my large lab gets a cup of dry food AND a full can of wet food (boy to have his metabolism and not gain a pound!) When that proved too small I ordered the next size up. I'm still not happy with it. I was willing to buy into this even if the bowls are disposable and a little expensive, but it's still is not a good solution. The wet dog food collects up under the rim on the underside so it still requires constant cleaning. It's not as simple as they make it seem. Based on the video, you would think you can just dispose of the paper bowl, put in a clean one and life is simple...wrong! I have to constantly clean the rim and now it's showing signs of rust marks despite the fact that I dry it off. I've only had the larger one (the one rusting) for a month! I will be returning both products to the manufacturer after giving it the old college try for the past 2 months. Save your money.

This would work okay for a very delicate dog. If it gets knocked around it falls over and the dogs paw gets caught in it. The cardboard bowls literally disintegrate if you put water in them and it sits for a half a day. Then it starts collapsing. Didn’t work for me BUT if you have a small calm dog and you are using it for dry food it might be okay.

Wish I went for the size up, my mistake. Great product though.

I really love these disposable, recyclable bowls. My cat drinks water more often from the Kinn bowl. This is a great investment for anyone considering it.

I gave this only 2 stars because these are basically generic bowls of a certain shape and they are marketed at something like 1000% of their price in the US... and even that is an exaggeration for what they are. Just buy some generic bowls and do not waste time with the kinn kleanbowl unless they start selling the refills at reasonable prices. It gets one start just because the idea is good and it works... otherwise for the refills at almost 50 pounds it would get ZERO stars.

Be careful not to store these bowls anywhere they can absorb odours. Because they most definitely DO absorb odours. My cats have stopped drinking from them as a result and I've moved on to a new water dish solution.

First the PROs: The product in itself is not bad, the size is just right for a smaller cat like ours (we previously bought the 16oz one which was fine, but twice as big, a bit too much for our mini-cat). The metal bowl is stable and does not get in the way. The paper bowls are as promised compostable and offer a much more hygienic option for us as well. Never a good idea to mix animal feed and human food, and not having to wash a bowl allows just that. A note: the recyclable bowls are just sitting in the middle of the metal ring, which is open at the bottom, from the pictures this is not clear. Again, not a problem, if anything it makes it quicker to lift-up and move the metal and replace with a new bowl without risking to tip it and pour it. The CONs: this is a BIG one. Basically the bowls are not available. We were able to buy (for about 19 pounds, so not cheap, costing more than the bowl itself [one star lost]) a refill of 50 bowls for both the 16oz and and 8oz bowls, but after that they were unavailable on amazon and anywhere else outside the US... short of paying 100+ pounds for a pack (plus shipping and customs from the US)... which is clearly not practical. This is why the bowl loses another star. Otherwise, with decently priced and easily available refill bowls it would be a must have for all eco- and health-concerned per owners. A note to Amazon: you should not stock products that are in fact unusable because the consumables they depend on are sold at extortionate prices...
