Tailwind Nutrition Recovery Mix, Complete Protein, Carbohydrates, and Electrolytes Powder Drink Mix for Post-Workout, Free of Gluten, Soy, and Dairy, Vegan, 15 Servings, Coffee

This is my favorite flavor of the Tailwind recovery drinks. But regardless of the flavors I've tried, none are gritty or chalky tasting. They all mix extremely well with milk. The coffee flavor has a creamy taste and texture. Whether it's all mental or not, I can feel a difference if I don't drink it after a hard workout. I am more thirsty and feel dehydrated. Could it be cheaper in price? Yes, but so could all protein powders. I like Tailwind as a company and the quality of their products (I use their endurance fuel as well) so to me I am ok paying the price!

EDIT** After leaving an unfavorable review, the company reached out to me to look into the issue. They offered to send a replacement, and were genuinely concerned that I had possibly gotten something that didn't meet their standards. They sent out a replacement flavor, which tastes great and is reflective of the other products that I have used of theirs. Tailwind is a great company that stands behind their products. I cannot remember the last time that I wrote a review, but this time- I feel compelled. The taste of this drink is so incredibly vile that I could barely choke down a few ounces. I ordered the coffee flavor, and was excited to try it. I was concerned because of the strange smell, but I went against better judgement and tried it anyway. The flavor is reminiscent of some odd fish and beef combination, with a large dose of some artificial powdery not really sure what to call it flavor. Absolutely disgusting. I drink a fair amount of supplements, and even the ones that aren't that great, I will choke down and suffer through for the benefits. Not this one. Tailwind products have been among my favorites, they are a really great product. I am not sure what happened with this one. Has anyone at the company ever tried this? I can't for one second believe that someone drank this, and then decided to sell it.

After a difficult run this is what my body best responds to for muscle rebuilding and energy. The next day, I can run without pain. And it tastes like my favorite thing: coffee!

It has an awful synthetic taste. I can barely stand it. Supposedly it's still good for recovery. But once I'm through with it, I'm back to skratch.

First let me say, excluding any rebuilding properties. This is best testing coffee mix I've ever had. I like my coffee black with no sugar/cream. My wife prefers to put coffee in her cream and sugar and she couldn't stand the taste. I will mix this up with 1 1/2 scoops with a 20oz bottle after a long endurance session and it works very well, especially on a hot day when my body can't process solids. It's pricey but I'd say it's worth it.
