Quality product with easy one person installation.
The front facing camera was very easy to mount behind the rear view mirror and connect to the connection in the back of the mirror. Connection to the camera WiFi is also pretty straight forward. I also installed the rear facing camera and installation was quite easy hiding the wire behind the headliner & door weatherstripping. I hid the excess wire behind the verticle weatherstripping on the rear passenger door. I wish the rear camera wire was not quite so long. Video quality is very good.

looks like factory
The easy mount using existing rear view mirror & being able to seamlessly tap into the power (without slicing or running wires to the fuse box was awesome. plenty of extra wire for the rear camera & the tool made it effortless to tuck them in. before & after plugging in. (fyi - spent a little more time zip ting - to clean my work up.. literally took 5 min..

Didn't work when I needed it most.
First of all, installation was a dream on my brand new Ford Raptor. Phone up connected easily, watched video, quality and access was great - you'd think it was perfect? Well, think again. Last night I was on a 3 lane interstate and when I tried to change lanes, a car racing along approx 110mph zipped in. I hadn't left my lane completely yet, so I just eased back to center but what I didn't see was the racer on the other side of the car thinking he could take my lane and he hit my vehicle, overcorrected, and spun 360 degrees several times before flying in the air and landing in a ditch. Many folks pulled over. The left side racer had just kept speeding and never saw him again. The right hand speeder pretended not to speak English, got angry when I took a cell phone photo of his license plate, and when I went to walk back to my truck, he and his passenger jumped into their bashed in vehicle and fled the scene. 3 State Troopers show up, and I "know" I have video.... NOPE! The FITCAM settings are set up to overwrite the oldest video to continually record. That did not happen. When the SD card became full, it stopped recording. There is NO video evidence. Obviously, this defeats the entire purpose of spending this much money to carry an eye witness in case something like this would happen. On a very, very positive note, I had the presence of mind to have taken a cell phone photo of the plate of the guy that actually hit me, AND - of all the blessings - he actually hit my massive rear truck tire and the "bounce" from that sent him sailing.... other than a wheel alignment, I think I'm very, very, VERY blessed to walk away from this mess fairly unscathed. I will contact FITCAM and will update my review pending their support response to this, but right now, I am VERY VERY upset about having put my trust in this particular camera. I have many dash cams and I am not an unfamiliar user. This is a horrible experience. BEWARE or at least BE AWARE.

FiTCAMX Available for Your Vehicle? Don’t Think Twice, Get It.
FiTCAMX is absolutely the way to go. I’m loving the clean, factory-style setup on my new 2025 F-150 PowerBoost. I used to run a Vantrue N4 on my previous F-150, but this is on another level—sleek, unintrusive, and blends right in. Mounting the rear cam on the mirror is a huge plus too. It gives me exactly what I wanted: in-cabin footage with audio, without the clutter. The app works really smoothly on Android—no complaints there. Extracting videos is simple and straightforward, and I’m glad it includes that option out of the box. FiTCAMX available for your car? Don’t think twice, get it, hands down!

Pretty Good Unit
After being told that I have to go into an office to work again since working from home for 15 years, I decided to invest in a dash cam for my hour-long commute. I found this one and liked that the front camera looked OEM and was hidden by the rear view mirror. I opted for the dual camera version but didn't think about the side curtain and side pillar airbags that would make running the cable to the rear camera a challenge. I took it to a professional installer to run the cable, but did all the setup myself. The connection between my phone and the camera's Wi-Fi worked flawlessly. So far I have a couple of issues - the front camera has this yellowish-green tint to everything, and playback in the app was choppy (after downloading the video, playback was smooth.) Downloading videos to my phone was a bit of a challenge as well; they're one-minute clips and very large in file size. The first time I tried to download a clip, it failed; however, it worked the 2nd time. I contacted support about the yellow/green tint issue and am currently working through some troubleshooting steps. I will update the review if I'm able to eliminate that problem. All in all, the way it stands today, the camera does what it's supposed to do and I really like the OEM look. Hoping I can get the off-color video fixed.

OEM like fit and look
I purchased this product because of its high quality video and the installed product looks better than what Ford actually offers for dash cams in the Ford Accessory catalog. I’m happy with the product and the app. I understood that CarPlay must be shut off the every time I connect to the camera- due to Apple CarPlay’s ability to only make one Wi-Fi connection at a time. Many other reviewers don’t understand the connection limits of Apple CarPlay are disappointed after using this product. This issue is a phone issue, not the camera’s fault. The app is simple but works well. Would like to see future models of this dash cam to allow cloud storage and wifi connectivity to my vehicle’s built in hotspot.

UPDATED! Constant Flashing Blue Light is a NO!
UPDATE: The review below stated that there was a flashing blue light. I reached out to customer service and their tech person was on it! They sent me three files to update the firmware that I downloaded and put on the card to stop the flashing lights. If you want the lights to stop, reach out. Follow their instructions. It works. Now the lights are just solid. Waiting to hear back if they have a fix for the skewed video issue. FIRST REVIEW: Returning it for two reasons. I wanted to give five stars at first, until my wife got in the truck. She asked what the flashing blue light was. I didn’t notice it because it was behind the mirror. In the instructions it says it will keep flashing to show its recording. What? Why? My previous camera never did that. It’s really annoying, and even more so when your wife keeps telling you about it! I emailed the company. A very quick response! Thanks! However, they told me to put a piece of black tape over it!! I thought of that before, but for them to say it was just a horrible answer. Paying this much for a camera to have a constant flashing light! Easy installation though! Really easy. Great camera but one other thing. It produces crooked video. When you review the video, it’s off center some and crooked. The left side of the hood is higher and yes, annoying. No way to center it. If you’re OCD, it will drive you crazy. Thanks, but too expensive to not have thought through the tech enough. Ford F150 King Ranch. .

A simple dash cam that looks like it was installed from the factory
Latest update: I went through two rounds of firmware updates with the manufacturer before finding one that works. They have a version of the firmware that turns off the wifi after 10 minutes of use, which they claim lowers the temperature and prevents errors with the SD card not over-writing. This firmware does work, after a couple months of use the files are correctly over-writing. I still have to leave my rating at 3 stars - this product should work out of the box and with the latest firmware, and not require custom firmware and months of testing to get it right. Update after a few months of use: I logged into the camera app to look for a file, and noticed that the "loop" setting wasn't working. The SD Card had filled up, and files were not being overwritten with new videos. I think there may be a firmware update that will fix this, but this is unacceptable that these ship without this feature working. I will update this review if/when I find a fix. Original Review: I recently purchased a F-150, and wanted a dash cam to record the insanity that is my daily commute. Other dash cams may have more features, but I wanted something that looked like it was factory installed, had a rear camera, used the mirror's power supply, and was "set it and forget it". The FitcamX met all these criteria, and was relatively easy to install. First, the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is that I feel the cable management could be better. Smaller connectors, space inside the unit to take up the slack, or even better, ports on the rear of the unit for connections so that there's not wire leads dangling from the back. Even with tucking the wires up as much as possible, they are still visible. From the drivers seat, they're hidden by the mirror, but they could be cleaner and give it even more of a factory installed look. Setup was relatively easy - connect to the mirror's power with the included jumper, download the app, pair to the wifi, and you're off an running. The hardest part will be running the cable for the rear camera, which wasn't too difficult on the F-150. I was able to tuck the cable into the sensor housing above the mirror, and then run it around the edge of the roof liner and door seals. There was a couple feet of excess cable, which I was able to tuck under the liner near the rear of the cab. The video itself is very good quality. I've been able to read license plates with the 4k camera. (Make sure you select the higher video quality option in the setup.) Initially, I had a loose connector, and once I fixed that, it has been operating with no issues. Some other reviews mentioned that the videos were no overwriting, so I'm going to be sure to check that once the SD card is full. All in all, the Fitcam line of dashcams seems to be on par with price and features, but really excels with looking like a factory installed option. If you're looking for a simple dash cam that looks great, I would highly recommend Fitcam.
