Can this be used with regular nail polish?

Yes, it can be used. But only the top coat to protect the nail polish and shine if using regular nail color. If using gel nail polish use base first, gel color and then top coat.

What do you use to take it off?

Both, soak off with acetone on cotton balls or use a hand or electric file. I like to go at the top layer with my efile or hand file to get some off. Then I take cotton balls soaked with acetone, put on nail and cover with foil or clips, silicone nail cover removers, and let soak for 10-15 mins until the polish gets gooey then push it off with nail spatula or tool. Or go back to soaking more. I dont like to put my whole finger or toe in the acetone/nail polish remover because it irratated my cuticles and skin. They sell these finger nail clips or these silicone finger tips things (see pic/video), especially made to soak off polish w cotton, at the dollar stores/Dollar Tree. You can get so much cheap but quality nail care supplies @ Dollar Tree if you have a local one! Please like my answer if it was helpful. Thank ya.

The foundation is your base coat, apply and cure before color is applied. Top it off is your top coat apply it after you've applied and cured your color. Some people use alcohol or you can buy something specifically used to wipe any "stickiness" off of your cured nails. They also sell no lint wipes

Love this gel base and top coat. Base coat provides a nice smooth foundation for colour application. Top coat hardens nicely as long as it is cured for the time recommended. Finished product is super smooth and shiny. Did my manicure over a week ago and still looks perfect. I definitely recommend this duo.
