This is a great mouse. This mouse has tons of customization and it works great. It has fantastic value. The size fits nicely. If you enjoy the Logitech 502 Hero, you will almost certainly find the G502 X Plus a winner. The buttons work really good, the clicking sounds are pleasant, and this mouse has an infinite scrolling wheel that you can activate, which is a nice feature. Pros: - PTFE mouse feet for very smooth glide across mouse pad - The new optical hybrid switches are incredibly fast, it has a nice responsive click and actuation. They should last longer than conventional mechanical switches and help to correct double-clicking issues. - No RGB lighting headaches - This mouse wakes from sleep mode instantly. - It's noticeably lighter, which is something most gamers are looking for. It has good aim and stability. - Comfortable ergonomic shape, it fits my hand well (large) even in different positions, it is light which helps to reduce wrist fatigue. I can press every button easily without looking for them, the scroll wheel, DPI adjustments, and thumb buttons are easy to find and comfortable. - Great button feel - I've had a couple issues with Logitech mice in the past, but Logitech has always been easy to work with to get a replacement or to help solve my issue, it's important that a company stand behind their products and Logitech has been stellar in that department, and it's one of the reasons I don't hesitate to buy their products, not to mention that they are often the best I can find. Cons: - No backup gliders - The new Logitech G Software kinda sucks, it does OK, it can auto-sense games, you can copy profiles, but it has several general flaws, including if it detects a new game it generates that game's default setting that you CAN NOT CUSTOMIZE ahead of time. The software UI sucks. Also, it would be nice to have a default mapping/DPI setting for a specific game one might like. Also, it spams notifications that are hard to turn off. The old software was much easier to use. Overall, it's a great mouse with a lot going for it. I'm enjoying using it vs my old mouse, and I love all the features it offers, which helps to look past any small shortcomings. I've been using the g502 mouse since they first release and I love how they feel because I have large hands. The issue I had with the old mice was the left button would always go bad on me I've went through four of them so far and it seemed to last me I'm about a year or so before issues arise. Come to find out it was a very common issue with the types of switches they were using so they wouldn't hold the click even though you were holding the button down. The new g502x uses an optical switch and I was concerned with how good it would feel because I've seen a couple reviewers talk about how travel there was in the left click button before it would actually actuate but either they fixed that issue before they released them to the public or I got lucky and got a good one or it's possible that it's just not as bad as the reviewers saying it had too much travel. Compared to my g502 hero it is a lot lighter and the Virgin PTFE pads really make a difference that so much smoother across my mouse pad. Back to what I was talking about before the optical switches feel great to me they feel like a very positive click and it's very fast to actuate. The general shape is great since I'm already used to the g502 because there was no adjustment. To get used to this mouse like there is sometimes when you switch from one brand to another because physically it's almost the same as far as the in hand field goes. They went with a lighter scroll wheel which I thought would be an issue whenever I would use the free Spin feature by unlocking the scroll wheel because of less rotating Mass however I can give the wheel a good flick and it spins like crazy so I'm very happy with it. The scroll wheel also has a more tactile feel when switching between weapons and games or whatever you might use your scroll wheel for in your game feels like it is a little more firm than my old mouse but that could just be the fact of the old mouse was born in but it is by no means hard to turn in fact due to the new design actually find it easier to grip and spin with my fingers. My overall impressions of this mouth so far are that I think I'm going to love it it definitely seems like a winner in my book.

Before buying this mouse, I was a G402 user since 2015 and as most button switches including the primary ones reached EOL. I was definitely sure that my next upgrade's gonna be the renowned G502 series. I was very excited when Logitech announced the new G502X but due to the pricing, I wanted to try the older G502 Hero first when it went on sale at $35 recently. The G502 Hero felt pretty similar to G402 in terms of ergonomics with small improvements in accessibility of side buttons. But I felt the mouse was heavy even without the weights and didn't like the metal scroll wheel. Even the RGB fun faded off just after a few hours and honestly found it distracting. (After 3 days of using). So I wanted to try the wired G502X as well and decided to return one of them at the end. After trying out the G502X, I felt the improvements addressed every shortcoming G502 Hero and G402 did for me. The new shape offers much better support to the left part of palm (Just below index finger) with some increased height there. The DPI shift button, the side buttons, especially the ones next to left click felt even more accessible and practical to use them more than ever before. The new switches feel more clicky, tactile and satisfying but needs a bit more effort to click. Should see how long these switch will last in the long run. The lightened scroll wheel with rubber grip feels more mature, the feel of ratcheted mode is lighter yet snappy and satisfying. Can assign custom scroll functions. And the overall aesthetic feels really mature and evolved, ready for the future. I usually have a mixture of palm and finger grip and the mouse perfectly fits in with the improvement in right part of the palm (Just below index finger) support and quickly got used to the feel of mouse (Usually a few minutes of break-in time). The skates are much larger and a huge step-up. The mouse glides much smoother which complements well with the lighter weight of mouse (Lighter than both G402 and G502 hero). But also, the wired G502X is expensive, no RGB but most notably the cable is a bit worrisome. I still would prefer the wired version just for the years of life one can squeeze out without worrying about battery wear. Finally, I returned the G502 Hero and am gonna use the G502X for the coming years. Despite the price, I don't regret it. It's an agile mouse with a ton of functionality. If you are upgrading from an older mouse like me or a lower-end/basic one, go directly for this. But if you're already happy with the older G502/similar, need for this mouse is much weaker and it's up to you. Thank you for reading so far. Happy holidays!

I've owned four different G502 mice over the years, and I just replaced a G502 SE HERO with this one because my "HERO" began exhibiting the dreaded Click Bounce failure, and spraying contact cleaner into it didn't help. First, the positive. This really is a nice mouse. The 502X is incredibly lightweight, so it's easy to move around. And the thumb button, which was in a great position on the very first G502 mouse, but moved too far forward on models since then, is reversible, so that you can position it in the "too-far-forward" position (so you don't accidentally use it) or further back (so you can use it without having to lift your hand). This is a fantastic improvement! The rubberized scroll wheel also feels nicer on the finger than the old plastic scroll wheel, so I appreciate that improvement, too. Finally, I'm hopeful that the new opto-mechanical switches (optical switches with a mechanical clicker to offer some satisfying resistance) might be immune to the "click bounce" problem that has plagued Logitech's mice for *decades*. If the smallest bit of contamination gets into their mechanical microswitches, they begin malfunctioning, and you often can't clean it without tearing the mouse apart (they're never the same after doing that). In my experience, this consistently happens within 2-5 years of getting a new mouse. There's a reasonable chance that the optical switch won't have such a failure mode. Here's hoping! Unfortunately, everything else is a step backwards. This is priced comparably with the prior model (when it was new), but the mouse feels cheap, probably due to light-weighting. Clicking of the buttons and the scroll wheel sounds hollow and LOUD, to the point of being distracting (I'd prefer a slightly heavier mouse that isn't so loud). The LED lighting was a nice-to-have feature that is now only available on the most expensive wireless "plus" model (I don't want a wireless mouse). The substantial-feeling braided nylon cord has been replaced with a simple rubber cord that is higher-friction and likely more susceptible to wearing (I've never had a mouse cord wear out, so I'm not too worried). This is a nice mouse, but overall, the HERO provided a better user experience. The thumb button is a big improvement, and I'm hoping the switches are more durable. But overall, it's not as nice of a mouse as the prior G502 mice were.

I love this mouse more than anything. I've had it since it came out and I've bought multiple backups just in case. Feels good in the hand, buttons are in a good spot, smooth quick scroll with an option to be notched scrolling. Everything I need in a mouse. Wire doesn't get in the way at all and it's super lightweight. I tried the MX Master 3S mouse before and it's terrible (clunky, bad layout, heavy, blehhh). This G502 X mouse is perfect. The only negative is the Logitech G Hub software takes forever to load my mouse on boot. I have a very high-end PC so there's no need for it to take that long. After that, works well.

I found it very suited as a programmer's mouse, unlike many other gaming mice I've tried. It doesn't feel as rugged as some mice and it has a strong "ping" when clicked which took a little time to get used to. I've been programming for many years and this is now my favorite.

I got this to replace my 8-year old G502 Proteus when its switches started to wear out. While the new mouse functions similarly, its design feels cheaper in every way: 1. It lacks the customizable weights. I rather liked the stability of the old mouse and this one feels light and cheap. 2. The side buttons feel more protuberant and disruptive, while somehow also harder to press. Maybe I will get used to them. 3. It really is very loud. The clicks echo with a metallic resonance that is harsh and I do not like. 4. The mouse cable is cheap standard rubber. The proteus had a nice braided cloth exterior and was longer and easier to use. To cap it off, you have to install this bloatware to customize it now. I swear I have 3 different generations of logic customization software installed on this device. This mouse doesn't show up in logi options+ which I just had to install for my camera last year, so I was forced to download the new Logitech G Hub. Also, despite being virtually the same mouse, with the same button config, none of my settings carried over.

They fixed the biggest problem with the mouse ergonomics, the sharp edges on the side buttons are now gone. Making this one of the most comfortable mouse you can find, for both palm and claw grip. Hyper scroll is an indispensable feature that should be a standard feature on all mice. I can not live without it after discovering it. The weight an precision of the mouse are perfectly fine for what you would expect from a gaming mouse. Lots of programmable buttons makes this mouse even suitable for MMO. There is only one issue with this mouse, no way to adjust LOD, lift off distance. This makes the mouse unresponsive on anything other then perfectly flat surface. I get why it is tuned this way, specifically for hard core FPS gamers, but it can be a major annoyance if you have no flat surface to work with.

So damned expensive! It is a very good mouse though. I like Logitech mouses and keyboards. It has a good weight, and fits my man hands better than most other mice. It is responsive. I’ve used many mice in my time. The MX Master is my favourite, but it is wireless, and I prefer the cable connection. This one is the best wired mouse I’ve used. My old one wore out after a few years of excessive use. The buttons started glitching. These new buttons are meant to be longer lasting as more reliable. I liked the weights on my old one. They don’t do the adjustable weight on this version, but the mouse is still fairly weighty and substantial. In my opinion Logitech is still king.

it's only been a few days. but up until now it functions great. there's only 2 notes though. the wire is not braided and don't know if it will last because it's kinda feel cheap. and the mouse itself feels a bit light. i wish there was a way to add weights to it when needed like the older model. but everything else is great specially the free scroll wheel
