Unit is of very good quality and works as advertised, and a great price point!
UPDATE: I had to upgrade my review to 5 stars, this unit is really great, I can always downgrade if I run into any reliability issues in the future but I want to be completely fair, this product rocks and made life easy for me on the job I used it for. Absolutely no complaints, at this point I would buy this again if given the chance for a do over. I wanted to try one of these to help expedite the targeting of the installation of chair railing in a 12 x 22 foot office and thought I would try this particular 360 degree self leveling unit. It has very good visibility indoors and works really well. It is simple to use and get familiar with and I'm sure I will find many more uses for it in the future. I'm unable to speak to the long term reliability as I have only had it a little while so if I experience any issues I update this review. The case holds everything neatly including a place for an extra set of batteries. If I was to be picky I think that the case could have a bit more padding and a handle on one end would be a useful addition to the case itself but again not in any way a deal breaker, in fact the extra room allows me to store my laser measuring unit with it keeping them both tucked away and a little protected and best of all I can keep them together which is a benefit to me when I need to reach for them I know that which ever one I need will be ready for me in this one compact case. I'm a DIYer so it won't get a lot if regular use but if you're in need of one I would recommend this product, despite being a DIYer my time is limited and important to me so having this unit has been a huge time saver and I appreciate that. I can't imagine how the more expensive (some 4 to 5 times more expensive) units from some of the better known name brands could be much better, for now I think for the DIYer they would be a huge waste of money, this product seems to work great and at a much more reasonable price. I'm thankful Huepar is offering this at a much more attainable price point! I suppose one could get into a nitty-gritting discussion about it's overall brightness or how fine a line it produces and some random distance but I can assure those who are wondering - this unit works great and did not cause me any concern the lines were bright and clear and very distinct. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to friends and relatives if they were in the market for such an item.

Great Product, very bright, easy setup
I bought this product to use with my son when we are doing building projects, mostly outdoors. We recently build an add-on roof attached to his workshop. We had the challenge of 2.5ft ground difference between the roof line of workshop and the add on roof. We set 3 posts for the roof to rest on but needed to get the slope correct so the rain would drain away from the shed. Attaching the Laser using the magnetic base unit to the metal siding of the workshop worked great. I also purchase the pulse laser detector which we used on each post to detect the laser position. In bright sunlight you can't see the laser so the pulse detector is a must. These tools made the job so much easier than trying to run a string line & string level high on very uneven ground.I would buy again, I would recommend.

Was better than expected
This unit surpassed my expectations.EASE OF USE: It is bright enough indoors at 30 feet. I was afraid that the line would be fuzzy, but it is crisp and legible. Once you know how to operate the functions, it is easy to use.QUALITY: I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of measurements. I double checked the reading with a high-end digital level and the two readings matched perfectly. Repeatability and Reproducibility was excellent. The nylon carrying case, mount, and card appears to be quality enough for the price. The instruction manual could use some improvement. It was very small and the type font was difficult to see. Unless you are using this level for a commercial application or for measuring long lengths requiring high precision, this unit should be more than enough, especially for home use. I used it for several days, perhaps 2 to 4 hours off and on before I needed to change batteries. This seems about right and I have no complaints about excessive battery use. When I measured my basement's kitchen countertop backsplash, I discovered that there was a 3/4" drop in 12 feet from one end to the other. I used the level to set 22 square feet of 4" travertine tiles on the wall. Since the stone tiles are not perfectly cut, tile spacers are useless. would never attempt to do a backsplash like this again without using this level. It literally saved me in this project.CONS: I would have given it five stars, but I received the unit in the unlocked position. This means that the sensitive pendulums were sustaining unnecessary impact during the shipping process. Since calibration is not covered under warranty, I might have received a unit that was stressed. There simply is no way to tell, although it seems accurate for now.RECOMMENDATIONS: YES, I would certainly recommend this to any homeowner or semi-professional for occasional use. This unit cost far less than less than big name brand laser levels, and given proper care and handling, should provide many years of use.

Green laser at reasonable price with capability to handle a variety of jobs
Pros:Green Laser-significantly easier to see under many conditionsCross beam and 360 degree all in one at reasonable priceFantastic indoorsAppears solidly builtCompact designLaser detector card can be beneficialNice mount includedCons:Weaker performance outdoors but many models suffer degradationGreen lasers usually drain batteries quickerFaint "ghost" parallel vertical laser lineThe single button for all operation modes and features can be confusing at timesI am impressed with the 901CG at this point. I have put it through several real world situations and I find that it performs quite well as long as you are not comparing it to models costing 2X-4X the price. It is fantastic indoors even in brightly lit rooms but it is limited outdoors. Indoors all surfaces and surface colors show acceptably bright precise laser beams. Less reflective colors or surfaces mute the laser brightness to some extent and eventually so does distance. If I have situations with large rooms and dark or less reflective colors or surfaces then keeping lighting to a minimum will easily get the job done. I also own the 9211G and this model is considerably brighter under all conditions.Using it outdoors will generally require some give and take. Again lighter surfaces work much better. Good luck in full direct sunlight. On an overcast day I find 10-15 feet is max on a darker surface and that requires getting up close to see the beam if your project will allow. If your activity can utilize this then I would suggest using the provided laser detector card and angling it slightly to the beams which will significantly increase the visibility. If it is that critical using a $130 laser then get an electronic laser line/level receiver or detector(Laserometer) to help and then use the Outdoor Pulse Mode function.Couple of suggestions-keep pendulum locked during transport and consider upgrading to a decent set of rechargeable batteries.

A great tool you will love using without totally breaking the bank.
After reading some other reviews, I wasn’t too sure about getting this model, but figured it couldn’t be that bad. It wasn’t. It was GREAT! The battery cover felt a little flimsy, but it closed up fine, and the lock/unlock control has a hard actuation to it, but the performance and results are great! I was dreading doing the project pictured in the review until I found out that this technology exists. After reading a lot of different reviews on other products, and getting sticker shock I decided on this model. It performed very well. So we’ll my wife commented that I didn’t swear once during the process (which is a big deal for me). As you can see the project was to layout the positions of multiple flag cases in multiple rows. This was so the right tool for the job and glad I got it. Beam intensity was good. It did drop off about 10 feet down the dark blue wall but it was still visible and usable. It was also rock solid on its accuracy. I had the unit on the left side of my project space to layout the four points on the left and while it was positioned there I marked horizontal reference points on the right side of my project space over 10 feet away. I then repositioned the unit to the right side of the project space, and aligned the unit to the previously scribed reference marks. When I verified if the beam aligned with the previously completed left side marks it did EXACTLY! You will love this tool!

Great Value
This is a great unit at a fraction of the price of others out there. I've used it on several projects including a two story deck and it has been a life saver. It's a bit hard to see in bright sunlight, but most lasers are, depending on how far away the unit is. No issues when it was shady and it works great. The posted video "product review" by another purchaser has so many technical issues with it, I won't begin to go into them all, but the short version is that this unit is accurate and will save you a ton of time. Will it survive bouncing around in a toolbox in a daily professional environment? Who knows. If you're hard on your gear, you may want to look at one of the pricier ones with rubber armor around it. With that said, this seems to be built very well, feels reliable, and has a warranty. If you leave it on for an hour or so, it will eat batteries pretty quickly, but it still beats running string levels.

Good laser. Does what you need. No more. No less.
Probably would give 4 and a half if I could. I don’t post reviews often. This laser seems to work well and is a decent price. Basically it’s a medium use/homeowner laser. Case is ok but seems kinda cheap. No handle and thin without much padding if any. Does have a pulse mode but that is for a laser detector. It does NOT mean that it pulses around in a circle. Only steady. Basically a low and high brightness beam. It does have room for battery storage in the case so I take my batteries out each time to prevent parasitic battery drainage. Nice feature for shutoff is is makes you switched to locked before you can turn it off which you should do before storing the laser. Overall it is pretty bright and seems great. With horizontal and vertical lines it should do most any job around the home I can think of.laser seems well built and durable and tripod mount seems minimal but well built so I’m happy. So buy this laser if you’re a homeowner and enjoy remodels.

Green is Good
Glad I went with the green, much better than the red versions.I'm relatively satisfied with the laser level. It is plenty bright for indoors, can't comment on outside. The first picture I attached is with the level 100' on the other side of my long basement. The line is a little fuzzy but still distinct and usable. I'll be placing it in the middle of my basement to do some drop ceiling work, which is why the 360 is nice. The last picture shows the line only a few feet from the level. The storage bag is a pretty flimsy, so one star off for that. I'll be keeping the level in bag in the box it came with. The bag does have room for the mount attachment and a place to keep the batteries, which is nice as I assume it's best to keep them out of the level. The mount attachment it self is ok. Magnets are plenty strong, and I like that it has holes to hang on nails/screws. Tripod mount with my camera tripod seems to be easiest still so far.Overall, construction of the level appears solid. The protection for the 360 windows seems better than some, and doesn't block hardly any of the 360 degree. Happy with the purchase and I would recommend this level/brand, even though I was skeptical at first.
