Dansko Women's Shayla Fashion Sneaker

I have several pairs of Dansko Professional shoes and love them. When I was looking for a stylish, yet not too young- looking sneaker, I happened upon Dansko Shayla Sneaker. I was surprised to learn that Dansko made such a different style of shoe and decided to try them. I am so glad I did. I have various issues with my knees and always relied on Dansko for comfort , great fit, and stability. Dansko came through as always. I bought my usual size -39 and the toe box of the shoe is just right, as is the rest of the shoe's fit. I am also happy with the style, as I was specifically looking for a roomy toe box for my wide, but small foot, that did not look clunky. Again, spot-on! I would certainly buy these Dansko sneakers again. I am so glad I found them.

I wear Danskos clogs in winter and their sandals in summer because they alleviated my foot pain better than numerous doctors were able to accomplish. I bought this sneaker to use for walking for exercise with my dogs. They feel like a clog does but with less heel movement although heel movement is still greater than with traditional sneakers. The toe area is slightly boxier than traditional sneakers which is a plus. The shoe is somewhat stiffer than traditional sneakers so I would not recommend using these for jogging or running for exercise. My feet don't hurt at the end of the day after walking the dogs for several miles in the morning and then hitting the mall in them. They are stylish and I plan on ordering more colors. The sneakers are the same size as my Dansko clogs and sandals.

After dealing with plantar fasciitis for way too long, a podiatrist clued me in that I could no longer go barefoot, particularly on the hard tile floors installed in my home. He further told me I needed more support in my arches than the Skechers "Go Walk" shoes that my GP said looked just fine. I was told I needed to purchase full-length insoles, specifically Powerstep Pinnacles. I did so, and they helped, but they're not cheap and I didn't like having to move them from one pair of shoes to another. I began looking for walking shoes both for in-home and outdoor wear and found many to be very expensive and/or have a little old lady vibe I'm just not ready for yet. These shoes fit the bill. They're reasonably priced, provide the support my feet need and are even somewhat stylish. I purchased the charcoal/berry model in a Eurosize 38 (I wear a 7 1/2). The shoes came pre-laced with berry-colored laces and a spare pair of charcoal ones for those who prefer a more sedate look. I find the shoes to fit just slightly on the snug side in both length and width with athletic socks...but they are nonetheless comfortable. At first I felt pressure from the arch supports and was only able to wear the shoes for a couple of hours. It didn't take long to get used to them and I now wear them all day. These were my first pair of Dansko shoes, but I'm pretty sure they won't be my last.

I have been wearing these sneakers for approximately two weeks, and hope as time passes there will be no need to change my rating. I own multiple pairs of Dansko professionals that I have worn for years, so am a big Dansko fan. I also own the Elise style of sneaker-type shoe (looks more senior citizen). I like them both, as well as the fact that I can change the look of my shoes. This sneaker looks, fits and feels like a sneaker. This is a sneaker (along with the Elise) that I am able to wear all day without foot pain. I can walk 3 miles with no foot pain during the walk or after. I wear the same european size in this sneaker as my Dansko clogs, I really like the look of this sneaker, up to date, sporty with the current trend of neon colors that pop.

I have to say, I love the Dansko closed clogs, could wear them every day, all day. However, I like the look of these sneakers and the arch support seemed good at first. After the first day, I found that I wasn't keen on these. I wear them and have arch pain for a day or so afterwards. I find I need more lift in the heal. Unfortunately, I will go back to Asics which have been proven to be good for me in a sneaker.

I was skeptical of this shoe at first because there were mixed reviews about it. I work in a bakery and stand on my feet for approximately 9 to 10 hours a day, sometimes longer. These shoes have okay arch support, would be perfect with an insole in them! They dont hurt my feet at all and i barely had to wear them in at all, very comfortable! Now there were some reviews about squeaky soles, and I have to agree they are a little at home but once I get to work I dont hear it! I have tried several other brands like gravity defyer, and the usual nike and adidas, but nothing compared to the comfort and quality of these! Overall well worth the money have lasted me almost 8 months without feeling like i need to replace them, I also bought their other sneaker as well and rotate out every other day.

Danskos are the only shoes I can wear without my custom orthotics, so when I needed to replace my old sneakers I decided to see what they had to offer. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a "current" look. Bright-colored athletic shoes are all the rage right now, and since I rarely have the opportunity to join in current footwear trends, I was delighted to see these. As I've come to expect from all my Danskos, these are well-made and look like they'll last a long time. What I hadn't expected was the great cushioning. I'm used to the hard-soled clogs and sandals. These offer great support and lovely, springy soles. Hopefully they'll inspire me to get out and walk more! The sizing was the same as all the other Danskos I've worn, so they fit perfectly.

I tried multiple days (with breaks) to wear these shoes. I was SO excited when I originally ordered and got them. I have worn dansko clogs for years; and it was hard for me to wear any other shoes, especially sneakers to workout in. For years, I said, "I wish Dansko would make sneakers, so I can workout in them." And so I got these with great expectations. Well, they completely disappointed me; and I'm not easy to disappoint. I really tried. Over and over again to wear these, to see if it they just needed some wearing-in. But no, my feet, knees, pelvis/hips (especially SI joints), and back immediately would spasm when I wore these. I even had to take them off in the gym just to walk around; I couldn't even finish my workout with them on. After my last try, and walking around the gym in my socks, I said "forget it!" They are going to Good-Will. I do not recommend these.
