Does itโs job exactly as expected - Would recommend
Thereโs absolutely nothing wrong with this flexible rubber base for gel nails. I bought this, because I had already been using a rubber base plus fiber glass to add strength to my fine brittle nails. Unfortunately, that other product was so difficult to remove. I figured getting one without fiberglass would make for easier removal, and I was right. This flexible base coat does provide more strength than plain gel polishes, but itโs not nearly as strong as the other rubber plus fiberglass product. This foundation flex performed well. I would recommend this brand if your nails arenโt as brittle as mine; the flexibility allows for some minor bending and easier removal. No weird texture. Suitable stickiness. Perfectly clear. Good product.

Lovlier Than I Imagined
It was very easy to apply. It acted just like the normal foundation coat, but with the beautiful tint to it (I chose Nude), I didn't have to add color. I applied a coat, used the gel light, then applied the second coat. Then, I just applied clear top coat -gel light-(two coats for extra strength) and after a week my nails still look really nice. They havent broken at the "corners", chipped, or broken off. I do try to wear gloves or dishes and yard work, but I'm still kind of hard on my nails. I've been happily using all Gelish items for the ten years I've been doing my nails, and this is a step up for me for a foundation coat. I'm glad I got the larger bottle because this will be my go-to nail polish during the summer when I want a polished look but without the stronger color.

Easy to use, and looks beautiful on its own
I love the ease of use and simplicity of this Foundation Flex because no additional base coat is required. There is no odor. The brush is small and straight, so I found it easier to work around the base and sidewalls of my nails without the need to use a liner brush to get in close enough. I flip my hand over just before putting it in the lamp to let gravity do its job. That ensures a nice level and balanced result. It was very easy to work with. I used two coats on my nails and after curing each layer in my nail lamp I wiped the inhibition (sticky residue) layer off the top with 99 percent ISO (Isopropyl alcohol) *because I was not topping it with another gel product, and then used one coat of regular lacquer topcoat. *NOTE*If you are doing a full gel manicure on top of the Foundation Flex coats, don't wipe the inhibition layer on the Foundation Flex. That layer serves as the surface for whatever gel you use on top of it. Once you complete your gel manicure you would only need to wipe the top coat layer if it isn't a non-wipe gel. Many gel top coats are non-wipe. Always read the product labels and directions. I bought the Light Pink and the Light Nude. Both are pink tones. The Light Pink is a cooler slightly deeper shade and it has a beautiful milky look after two coats. The Light Nude is a softer/lighter pink. Both colors look clean and natural. Both are perfect for French manicures. I included pictures of both products to help with color visualization. I love the finished look. I also love that I can use regular lacquer polishes over it when I want to change the color. As long as you use non acetone remover you can take the regular lacquer off and change it as much as you want. If you use full strength acetone it will slowly eat away at the product so that's obviously not a good idea. The finished products look really beautiful.

Saving my nails!
This is super easy to use and save so much time while doing my at home manicure. I can add tips or just apply to my natural nail. My nails are healthier rather than using acrylics or press on. Compare to press on it definitely last longer and more durable. The color is very sleek and perfect for every day wear. I do wish I could get it to last longer, but Iโm pretty sure it has to do with my prepping. I know even when I get acrylics it doesnโt last as long as normal people. Iโm very rough on my hands so I donโt expect to last a whole month but I do get about two weeks out of it with prepping the nail bed.

Flex works great - has a learning curve
I've been doing at-home gel nails regularly for 5 years. I decided to try Foundation Flex (FF) to see if my at-home gel nails lasted longer and were better protected. I'm so hard on my nails that even professionally done gel nails don't last long. This product does make my nails last longer and protect the natural nail from chipping, BUT I need 3 coats to attain both strength and longer wear. After the third layer, the product is opaque and strong--strong like a hybrid between gel and acrylic. I can pinch my nails from side to side, and they hardly move. My at-home gel nails usually look beautiful for 10 days, and then it's downhill from there. With 3 layers of FF I get 14 beautiful days. Regarding the learning curve, my nails looked horrible the first time. But I was stubborn and very busy, so I kept them on for two weeks, rolling my eyes every time I looked at them for very long. This product is somewhat rubbery and a little more difficult to work with than normal gel. The trick is to do two very thin coats and then one thicker coat. Make sure there are no bubbles in any of the layers, or that little bubble will become a bump that will come through ALL the layers. I recommend pointing your nails down and looking down the length of your nail to make sure the product is evenly spread from side to side. Regarding chipping, I still tend to chip at the ends before the nail lifts at the nail bed--even with capping. I tried capping my nail with the first two layers of FF this time to see if that will extend the wear time. I also added ProBond to my routine as the step after PH bond (which is basically an alcohol prep). I'll update if I start to get more than 14 beautiful days out of my nails. 2026 Edit: a few more years of practice, and I can get 21-28 days out of my nails. I use the ProBond and the Flex Foundation religiously. I no longer completely remove the gel, I file off the top layers, shaping as I go, and then slap on some more ProBond and FF, and then do color and a top coat. I'm attaching photos of my >3 week nails, which are ready to be redone. They are just starting to lift at the tip of 1 pointer finger. No lifting at the cuticle end. These are my natural nails underneath. As they grow longer they tend to curve, but the FF is holding strong.

Very nice
I really like this polish! My other gel polishes tend to chip, but this one did not. At about two weeks it started to peel off in big layers, and i personally prefer that over little chips. Makes removal easy. Also, my nails did not break once while wearing this. Maybe because this gel is rather thick? I work with my hands for my job so my nails break often, but coincidentally not while wearing this. 4 stars instead of 5 because applying it is so weird! The texture is extremely thick, but somehow also runny and stringy all at the same time. Took a lot of getting used to and i still need more practice. I purchased the beige color.

Love
This is a really good polish and gives a really good base if you donโt want to use a builder, this will give you builder coverage and is easy to work with. The colour is milky pink, so you can layer with pink.

Excellent adhesion
Great for long lasting gel manicures if your natural nails are flexible. Use as a base coat or a couple of layers plus top coat.

No lifting after 3 weeks!
I purchased the foundation flex to help strengthen my natural nails and it's amazing! I did apply the pro bond acid free primer prior to applying and so far I have zero lift. It also cured perfectly under the LED lamp in 90 seconds. Great product!
