Was this included in any of the pledges in the Kickstarter?

This is a different game than marvel zombicide. Think of it like when they came out with night of the living dead a stand alone game

Is this a stand-alone game?

Yes it is. It is played in hero mode however which is an alternate game mode of the full (yet to be released) Marvel Zombies game.

Looks like only 1 female hero option....can you use content/expansions from the core game in this lite version?

Yes you should be able to looking forward to my packaged any day now! I went with the highest tier pledge
