how easy is it to break them? i would put it in my backpack and my backpack might get squished, so i need to know if it would break from that.

I have two of these tubes and I've taken them in my backpack to school for use on breaks and I've never had a problem. It really depends on how squished your backpack might get. I imagine these would hold up with 50lbs of pressure but I'm not sure. These are much more sturdy than cylindrical tubes. I hope this helps!

Is the cap black as shown on the picture?

Yes, this listing is for the prism tube with a black cap. If you need further assistance please call us at 507-722-2601 or toll free at 866-727-4120. ~Kind regards from Jane at OnFireGuy~

Will my 2014 Pokemon World Championship playmat fit in this tube?

It should fit as long as the mat has a length no longer than 16".
