The design looks so nice and the three aluminum filters are much better than the single one my old range hood had. It was easy for my husband to install and the fans work well.

My stove and range hood of 30+ years (yes, 30+ years!!) needed to be replaced. My search produced this Cosmo range hood (5MU30) and I immediately liked the clean lines and simplicity. The features listed are great as well. It is reasonably priced for the options and look you get with this. The noise level is not bad, even on high! The metal filters are so easy to remove and clean! The light is fairly bright, but is concentrated mostly toward the back. Not a deal breaker because I don't normally cook in the dark. LOL I do have a small rechargeable magnetic strip light that I discovered I can attach to the underside of the range hood for more direct light. An Aha! use for that! The controls are labeled and super simple to access. Installation was slightly tricky since the old unit was hard wired and the hole did not exactly line up. This was not a deal breaker since my installers (sons) are handy!! Pro tip (LOL): make sure to take into account the profile of this unit. If it is a replacement, make sure your doors will open the same without hitting the side of the hood if that is important to you. My old unit was sloped in a way that the cabinet door did not hit the side of the hood as it did not protrude as much until a few inches lower. The new unit does not come down as far, is more compact and that is why I hit the door. But the compactness is something I really like, so I can live with it!!! I would recommend this product!

Good value for the dollar, however it was not shipped with screws to connect to over stove cabinet, the screws provided were for the wall mount. Was still able to install, but I would have preferred to more securely mount via top of hood. The fan and light work well, however, the finish on the stainless steel gave an appearance of being somewhat low quality, but I purchased some stainless steel steel cleaner from Lowe’s after a recommendation from the installer and it gave the finish a much cleaner look and has maintained said look for over a week. Now it is just a matter of how well the unit itself holds up over time.

This item is a rare find as perfect for those seeking a 36" wide and less than 20" deep range hood. It also happens to be sleek and slim for our newly upgraded kitchen, and very reasonably priced. The features are very good, too. Though some reviewers say the installation can be difficult, I went with a contractor who had zero issues. Perhaps this product might be better installed in knowledgeable and experienced hands.

if you have older 12" deep cabinets, mounting could be tricky because you need nearly 1" for the power cord. it is feasible to adjust the plastic piece holding the power cord straight but that's a 'better know what you're doing' type issue. power is 44" long maybe in the factory, after internal routing you get about 35" (in my case) half an hour or so peeling off blue stuff and under 10 minutes to mount it. As someone looking for as simple an install as possible i scored 100% with this unit. Install was easy, i measured and drilled the holes for the front first, sat the unit on the screws (its lite enough) and quickly mounted the rear pair of screws. The front and rear have the wide holes that narrow so you can slide the hood on and off, i didnt want that and the rear has permanent holes so i used those. i was worried about vibrations and 'keeds' :) It looks nice and clean and i never thought about it but i appreciate the lack of some big stupid logo on the unit. its just the buttons and looks clean. the metal is thin but decent, doesnt bend or ding easily. The leds are nice, good amount of light, i got the 6500k to match my kitchen. The blue stuff wow, I ended up being impressed by how scratch resistant it is. its too bad they couldnt wrap my car in it. fan is good, its what i expected, its not silent but even on low the steam etc from the stove immediately flows up and out. there's a low whine, its low though so fades into the background easily. its there but low and i dont have to adjust my volumes when its on low or medium. I didnt test high, low-med gets me what i need. super happy, totally recommend.

The Hood arricved as advertised. Removed it form the box and was installed in less than 40 mins. The fan and lights are great and the noise level is lower than my previous one a Broan brand White. I just had my new gas ranger installed earlier and looks great in my updated kitchen.
