Be careful when ordering this frame - the frame itself is very nice and looks exactly as pictured, but I have ordered this twice now and both frames have had the same issue - one corner of the gold does not meet and there is a gap, and it is very noticeable. The frame is too strong to try and 'push' the sides together. Very unhappy, I will be returning the frame again and going with a different vendor.

I looked at quite a few before landing on this one. Mine arrived in perfect condition, not scratched or anything, which I was a little worried about. It arrived in a hard box and, additionally, the corners of the frame were each in harder clear square-shaped plastic, which was appreciated. The frame itself is gold, though not a tacky gold. Not too thin, not too thick of a frame outline. The frame comes with an optional 5x7 mat, just off-white in color. Comes hang ready or can work as a tabletop frame.**UPDATE** Went to hang the frame and now I regret my purchase. I am surprised more people haven't come across this issue: the gold frame has a deep lip around the entire edge while the teeny square black hanger is far below the lip, so it's very challenging to hang and an awkward angle. It's hard to visualize if you got it on the hanger at all while you're trying to hang it. I tried, someone else tried, and while we finally got it to hang, it's just barely on there. It's a poor design and a TINY hook.

All 9 of mine came in perfect condition! Pretty much everyone who comes through my front door compliments me on my beautiful gallery wall. So happy I bought these!

Don't get me wrong, the frame is beautiful. Except we had to have the frames sitting on a desk for months as we tried to figure out handinging it. The frame's dimensions are correct. It looks beautiful HOWEVER the back is designed in a really frustrating way and you may have to rig it like my roommates and I did. We're renters, but we're allowed to use nails. The frame is heavy so if you don't have a stud to put the nail into, you risk ruining your drywall.The hanging mechanism provided on the back is a flimsy sawtooth hanger unless you want to insert 2 nails to perch the top of the hanger onto. The sawtooth is not on the lip of or edge of the frame, instead it's near the center. This is an issue because the aluminum edges of the frame protrude ~3/4 of an inch out so the sawtooth hanger doesn't sit flush with the wall. We had to finagle some binder clips through the sawtooth hanger and then pray they keep holding onto the frame if there's an earthquake.Additionally, 98% of command strip hanging mechanisms don't work with this frame, the edges are too thing, and the flat section as previously mentioned does not fall flush with the wall.

Ordered one a week ago to check it for fit and finish as well as packaging for shipping. It arrived in great condition and fit and finish were great, nothing broken so I ordered three more for a four photo set. They also arrived in great condition; well packed and NO damage.Since I have quite a few Nielsen-Bainbridge frames, that I had to assemble, I decided to check these out. Now if you need different colors, Nielsen might be the way to go since they do offer multiple colors, but in my case, I wanted the gold color and these were a great deal. The Nielsen frames would have been about 70 percent more, including the cost for acrylic plastic and these frames had actual glass. (The price for needed custom cut mats would be the same regardless of frame(s) ordered.)As stated in the headline, for the money, do not believe these frames can be beat.Once custom mats are received and actual photos are placed in frames and they are hung, I will attach a photo.

I ordered 4 of the 11x14, plus some black mats for 8x10 photos. The black mat and the gold frame with the black and white photos I chose really looks amazing. The quality and sturdiness of these frames are impressive, especially for the price. I really like the mechanisms used to keep the photo backing in place. I plan on using the Command picture hangers, so I'm not worried about the hooks they have for hanging, but that could be an issue for some if you plan on using the old fashioned hammer and nail route (I suggest looking in to command products for all your hanging needs, seriously - I am related to their brand in any way and make no money from them). The packing of these frames was immaculate. They all had significant plastic bumpers on each corner, with plastic wrap around them, then were packed in a box that they fit into perfectly. If there's an issue with one of your frames, I am confident that it's a random issue and not one indicative of the general quality of the product. I just ordered 4 more of these of different sizes for additional photos (easily another $80 or so) and I am not remotely worried about the product. The color of the gold is a really beautiful matte gold. They are exactly what I wanted and what I thought I was buying when I made the purchase. I will update this if I have any issues with the additional frames that I purchased. I know buying frames online can be nerve-racking, because they are often way cheaper feeling/looking than they seem in photos. That is absolutely not the case here. I feel like I got a bargain.

I would have given 5 stars because I love the frames. I created a photo wall in my living room and they look beautiful. I missed the return window by 1 day because we were painting and preparing the wall before we hung the pictures. 2 our of the 12 were damaged. Both of the ones damaged look like they had been dropped during packaging. There was no outward sign on the box but once you looked inside they had dented in or serated corners. One of them had cracked glass on the corner. I was able to fix one of the frames but I had to order another one to finish the wall.
