Metal WDT Tool and Self-Aligning Stand | Precision Machined (Black Anodized Aluminum)

Excellent WDT Tool and works perfectly for breaking up coffee clumps in the portafilter. Yes, it is a lot more expensive than the usual items found on Amazon, but you get what you pay for and i have found no channeling in my coffee extractions since using this tool.

A sturdy thing, with the right amount of weight and strong tines. (The stand/holder too is just right, with enough weight that it shouldn't easily topple over.) The rods come in a separate little "test tube" and are easy to install. (There's a spare one too, assuming that you fit all of them, though you might prefer to use fewer.) Works as expected, really helping to break-up any clumps of ground coffee, so that you're left with a soft powder. Inexpensive. Recommended.

Sturdier built than expected. It's definitely a MUST have tool for any espresso maker. Can't believe I've waited so long. Making a huge difference straight away. Helps a lot to make a more even tamp. A good stand as well that many other WDT tools doesn't seem to have. Things that doesn't make it 5 star is that it does collect a bit of coffee. So you need to brush it off yourself after every use. Also I'm experimenting myself of not putting all "needles" in the holder. That way you move less coffee around and can work a more even bed. Looking at other WDT tools it seems to be a common problem that they just have too many needles that basically move too much coffee around. Overall it's a good tool. Expensive but looks better than the cheaper options for around 10-15 pounds so think it's worth the money.

I've tried a few WDT tools in the past, but this is by far the best I've tried. Easy to store and the needles have a good balance between fine and sturdy. The spare needle in the packaging was a nice touch. As for the results.... Used in conjunction with a dosing funnel to keep the grinds from spilling while stirring, tbh I struggle to tell any difference in the final result. I guess I'm lucky that my grinder (modified Vario) creates fluffy grinds straight out of the chute, but if this wasn't the case then this would 100% do the job. Using a s/s mesh puck screen on top of the coffee had a much bigger impact in the final result than any other tool/trick I've tried so far. Still nice to have the WDT for occasional use, albeit a placebo (in my case).

Having using other printed and cheaper tools, this is miles ahead at a affordable price point, these are tightened in using the included tool and aren’t push fit like some cheap ones that end up needing glued. You would struggle to find a better WDT at this price point with stand.

I bought a cheap WDT last year and this one blows it away. You definitely get what you pay for. I particularly like the neat way of locking the needles into the handle and the little plastic "spanner" tool used to tighten it up. The only issue I have is with the single spare needle supplied. C'mon, for this money could you not have stretched to more than one single spare?

I use this both for espresso and pour overs and have notice huge improvements with the consistency of my shots. This tool has also helped me create a flat even coffee bed for pour overs which I have now seen a reduce in channeling. I have tried some the other cheaper wdt but could never get the results I get with this one. I highly recommend the fused line WDT.

This whisk is very expensive but it does work perfectly. SInce I've been using it with my De Longhi the pressure is getting up to the Optimal Zone every time - even with my older beans. I don't know why it is so expensive but now I've got it I don't want to let it go!

Vanaf het eerste moment dat je het doosje open maakt voelt alles premium quality. Makkelijk in elkaar te zetten en ik gebruik 'm nu een week en kan niets anders zeggen dan dat hier goed over nagedacht is. De pinnen zijn dun en stevig, de kop lekker zwaar maar niet te zwaar en het houdertje heel handig en stabiel. Goed genoeg dus om even speciaal de tijd te nemen voor een positieve recensie ;-)

First things first.. it’s a great product that is well made by a family business and I appreciate that. What shocked me when it arrived is that the stand is entirely 3D printed as is the pin holder and holder tool. I chose this product because it had an aluminum grip and the shape of the base is absolutely beautiful. I was expecting the base to be aluminum as well. Nowhere in the description does it state that the base is 3D printed or even plastic for that matter. Then you receive it and look at the branding… “Fused Line”… makes sense. Frankly its very well done and I think they should lean into it. It almost seems like they actively avoid mentioning the 3D print which is so odd when that’s your brand. Anyhow, it’s extremely well made, attractive, good price, and I am happy with it. This model is one of few that I found on Amazon with a splayed pin orientation, which I was specifically looking for in a WDT tool.

My previous WDT tool had two issues, the needles would pull out and they were too close together to effectively break up any clumps. Instead clumps would just be moved around without breaking up. This tool fixes both issues, because the needles are inserted from the opposite side they can't fall out, and the needles are at an angle which makes a huge difference in 'cutting through' the grinds.
