The Bostitch Office B8 Heavy Duty All Metal 45 Sheet Plier Stapler has been a fantastic addition to my restaurant. It's proven to be incredibly reliable and sturdy, perfect for stapling receipts onto carry-out bags. From the moment I started using it, I was impressed with its build quality. This stapler works for me and does exactly what it was designed for. I have to note that the negative reviews are funny (to me). The reviews that said it doesn't come with staples? Perhaps they didn't read the description, because it never said it would include staples. Doesn't use regular staples? Says in the description "Uses 1/4 or 3/8 Inches premium B8 PowerCrown staples." Funniest of all reviews are the ones that say it's hard to load staples. The instruction sheet was illustrated and very clear, couldn't be easier to load. As a test I asked my 11 year old grandson to try and load staples....handed him an empty stapler, the instruction sheet, and a stick of staples. In less than 30 seconds he was stapling away. I would say you need basic comprehension and a very minimum amount of technical expertise to load the stapler successfully...but if you don't have those skills you should ask a sixth grader to do it for you.

Best Stapler Gun I could have bought! I own a florist and needed a stapler gun to staple shipping boxes and this is the best for fast way stapling with out jamming or hand getting tired ! Dependable heavy duty easy to load and use!

,There's no way to get the Staples inside... They don't lock in and it makes the stapler useless. It seems to have a poor cheap construction and after trying two different stapler sets nothing will hold inside it's useless. I'm really sorry about it

I bought this plier style bostich stapler to replace another (smaller version) I had used for many years and never had a problem with. First thing to note, it DOES NOT USE standard staples. You need the crown type staples. That in and of itself is annoying and the reason I took a star off. When I got my first order, there were no directions in the box. Went to the internet to find instructions, realized I didn't have the correct staples and then had to go buy some. Once the staples were in hand, I went back to loading the stapler. It does not load in the typical fashion. You have to pull up and back on the black load bar, and squeeze the plier handles together so the top comes up, drop the staple cartridge in through the top, let the handles go and push the black load bar back to cover the staples up. No matter what, the cartridge would not properly load. The load bar was difficult to pull back, and though it was pulled back as far as it would go, the cartridge would not completely fit and kept breaking apart. Even the smaller pieces would not load correctly. But, I am not a quitter! I know I am intelligent enough to load a stapler! I kept at it. I watched several (very) short clips of people effortlessly loading their staplers. What was I doing wrong?!? After about 30 minutes I admitted defeat and initiated a return. For funsies, I decided to go the 'replace with same item' route. I really needed to know if it was defective or I was getting too old to load a stapler. The replacement came quickly. I slowly opened the box, fully prepared to be aggravated once again. But, what's this? Instructions! I read them to be sure I wasn't missing anything (I wasn't) and then gingerly pulled the loading bar up, then cautiously pulled it back, and to my amazement and delight it effortlessly pulled completely back and out. Without any trouble, I dropped in a full staple cartridge, and glided the load bar back, covering the staple cartridge snugly. I grabbed some paper, and held my breath for the moment of truth. I. Stapled. The. Paper! I was 100% vindicated. I CAN load a stapler. So, do yourself a favor. I do endorse this product, annoying a design though it is. Get yourself crown staples if you buy it and if at first you don't succeed in loading it, return it and get another because you probably got the one I returned. Happy stapling!
