Very impressed with the quality of these spools. They are a little bling for you bike, adds a nice splash of color and functionality with a rear stand.On my 2006 SV650S, they fit perfectly, didn't even need to use any of the washers, just need to use the supplied 8mm bolts. Very impressed they are quality 8.8 rated bolts, which is the industry standard for strength on spools. Most cheap spools don't come with them (or aren't rated) and you have to buy them as extras, happy these came with the spools.Just a tip, the colored outer ring is screwed on, which has the potential to come loose over time. You should at least use some blue or red loctite on it before installing. However I just superglued mine on, since they aren't replaceable anyways, if they get damaged you will need to buy a new set anyways. I put some glue on the threads, threaded the blue colored ring on the spool and called it a day.When you install the spool itself, check to make sure it clears the swing-arm, if not, use the supplied washers to gain that clearance. Then apply blue loctite to the 8mm bolts and screw the spool on.If you have a torque wrench, the bolt is supposed to be tightened to 18 ft-lbs. If not, tighten to just tight, do not over-tighten. The loctite will keep it from unscrewing.

I usually don't write reviews, but I was pretty impressed with these. They fit perfectly on my 2015 ZX10R (with or without the spacers), they are quite sturdy, and all the threads are buttery smooth.They came well packaged and everything was individually wrapped so there was not a single scratch on the spools.The best part is the machine work done on them and how good they look in the light. I took plenty of pictures before and after installation and tried my best to make them look as good in the pictures as they do in person.The only downsides are that they are slightly heavier than their Delrin counterparts of the same size but its really not by much, they are a bit on the large side but I like the way bigger spools look so it's perfect for me but thats just personal preference, they are prone to scratches because they are fully aluminum, and even though it's unlikely the caps that screw on to the end could possibly back themselves out and fall off when riding (they do have an O-ring thats meant to stop them from unscrewing but i added a small drop of threadlocker just to make sure they stay put).But overall they look and preform exactly as advertised.Pros:Look amazing.Extremely easy to install.Strong and well designed.Full aluminum construction.cons:Prone to scratches if using a metal stand.A bit heavy compared to Delrin.A little bulky depending on what bike you put them on.It's unlikely, but the end caps could back themselves out and fall off. (a drop of threadlocker will solve this problem tho)

I thought the last pair of chrome swingarm sliders that I got were pretty nice but these take it to another level... they really pop and look like a million bucks. CBR1000RR UPDATE: Slid into a car... Side fairings were messed up, radiator leaks and fans don't go on, a few scrapes on my pipe but these kept any other damage off the back of my bike.. I just ordered a different set that looked cool to replace them, as one is scratched up, and they are much smaller then these... I don't think the new set (diff. supplier) will protect my pipe the way these did... One side bent backwards and the bolt did snap when i tried to bend it back, but it totally held up to the fall, which is all i could expect of it.. These work, and with a new bolt, turn the scrapes to the bottom side..they still look good and still work !!

I always forget to remove the spools from my motorcycle after some at home maintenance. That's how I lost one of my other generic black spools. I noticed one spool was on and the other was missing... oops. With these spools, the red ring and large size makes it very noticeable and reminds me to remove them before a ride. Works great for me and they do the job very well.

These were bigger than I expected but not so much that they look weird. I ordered the red color and it's a near perfect match for my bike (2018 SV650 red/black ABS livery). Install was very simple. A few steel washer were included but that seemed likely to scratch the frame paint if sufficiently torqued down. I used a nylon washer instead but obviously that's up to you. I tested these with my paddock stand and they worked perfectly. I would recommend using a cloth or some other protective barrier between the spools and the lift brackets. Otherwise the painted spools will quickly become scuffed / scratched.

I give it five stars for the feel and look of the quality milled out spool, but the bolt doesn't fit through it to attach to my bike, so have to return them. ??? simply quality assurance on the sellers part would avoid this waste of time.

Purchased for my '21 Z900. I only had one hiccup - during install one of the mounting screws didn't fit just right and started to strip. I backed it out, and went to a hardware store to find a replacement screw (which went in just fine, so I know it wasn't my bike). Other than that, these look great and work perfectly with my swingarm stand.

The spools are heavy duty, well made and look very sexy on my 2014 CBR600rr. It comes with 2 spools, 2 screws, and 4 washers. That’s it! Very easy to install. It took me about 4 minutes total to install. They are not the typical small spools. I would rate them medium/big (if I make sense), which is good because it offers extra protection in case the motorcycle tips to the side. I had to install mine with the 4 washers (2 on each bolt) in order so sit flush. They are solid and they are not going anywhere. Don’t think about it, just buy them!

These fit great on my 2016 Kawasaki Versys 650.As other reviews have said; the metal screw-on caps that are on these spools feel like they could vibrate loose and fall off. I used a bunch of thread-lock on the threads of the caps and they seem to be holding snug so far.THROW AWAY THE BOLTS!Signs of rust were already present on the bolts received with the spool. I went to Fastenal (you can also try Canadian Tire, Home Depot, or local Hardware Store) and purchased entirely stainless-steel bolts and washers.

A nice product, well made but It was chosen due to it's supposed compatibility with my bike even though I don't actually have any mounting options available for the spools.

The spools arrived as they promised. They are gorgeous, but you need to take in consideration they add a lot of width and your stand might not be wide enough or will need some adjusting. But they are gorgeous and appear good quality.
