The mop wringer you have been looking for!
Wow, where do I begin? This Wringer is Literally Hands down the best one I have ever had. I cant believe the durability of this thing. Nearly all metal, Very robust, Allows for heavy pressure to be applied and wrings an extraordinary amount of water. I only just got it so I will update accordingly. No assembly, just fit it onto a home depot orange bucket. No more horrible ,cheap plastic wringers that suck. I cant fathom why the big box stores dont have these, If you are hesitant to buy, dont be. Unless you just have to have something on wheels I would not worry. Yes, it is a little heavier but unless you are really old or lack strength it should be no problem. Sure, you will have to carry the bucket around, but I mean does it really matter? For the average homeowner I would say no, and if this is for commercial jobs I would still recommend it and also recommend you find a bucket with wheels that would work with this item. You will be able to put out a lot of water onto the floor and pick a lot of water up with your mop because you will be wringing it out so well. I use a two bucket system, one with clean water and one with the wringer that wrings it out. Honestly the price is fair, if this thing holds up you will save money because you wont be having to buy a new mop bucket/combo year after year. I got mine used from amazon warehouse so I figured what is the worst that can happen? IF it sucks Ill just return it which is allowed per the return policy, However, so far this thing is awesome. I recommend you give it a try and see for yourself just how much water this wrings out. I also happen to use a larger mop which holds more water, similar to what you might see a janitor at a school using, so I guess if u have a very small mop it might not be as noticeable to you. I cant believe more people haven't bought this item yet. I mean, seriously, it is exactly what I was looking for and hope it holds up.

Is this handle upside down?
UPDATE: They overnighted the replacement to me and it works great. The other one was obviously jammed. This is a great wringer, and I am very pleased with its sturdiness and usefulness! Thank you. :D It looks like it would be a great wringer -- sturdy and all -- if the handle worked. It seems to be upside down to me and the squeeze part won't open any wider than about an inch and a half because the handle is in this position. Am I missing something or did I get a weird one? I asked for a replacement and they are sending me one, but I want to make sure I'm not misunderstanding how this handle is supposed to work.

came with handle upside down
This metal wringer seems very sturdy but came with handle upside down. Since I did not open it right away now I can not return it . Amazon only gives you a month to return it I should have bought it elsewhere!

Worth the $77.58 I paid
No way would I pay the list price of $300+ for this, but at $77.58 it looks like its worth it. Definitely heavy-duty and well-constructed. {I see the price a week after I ordered it is now $81.77.} This thing is NOT thin aluminum, but is 15 or 16 gauge steel (between 1.5mm & 2mm; I'm eyeballing it with a ruler and magnifying glass). Definitely watch the video on un-folding the handle, as there are no instructions; and the nice thing is it does not lock in place, so you can fold it back for boxing/transport.

Heavy but works!
I love these wringer attachments ever since I was a kid. My great great aunt had one. A product that echoes back to a time however today not really a product designed for everyday home use. Unless you work on a farm and have enough space to store it. I needed a replacement for a wringer pail but with durability. These plastic ones vary in durability based on the manufacter and quality control. I bought the smallest wringer pail combo and it eventually broke. I could not figure out what broke on the wringer portion. Because many of these manufactures do NOT add enough adequate photos to really show you the mechanisms involved. Then I discovered it was a plastic bolt that was attached, molded to the levers that allow the press to make contact with the mop when the handle is pulled. Since I couldn't get a replacement I went for something durable. As I have a mop while not meant for the wringer pail I was using I knew how to make it work until it broke. I needed something that would last. So I ordered this. It's great and I can use it with any mop however it's too big. I didn't realize how big and weighted it is. Plus they're pretty expensive. I wish they had one that was a little smaller. This would be perfect replacements for the smaller and poorly made plastic wringers pails. Because once the wringer piece breaks you're stuck with a pail. So a smaller version would still work because of the better craftsmanship. This piece is so big I have to place it on sideways. This piece is designed for a larger bucket as pictured. However I don't have the space for a larger bucket as I live in a studio and everything has to fit in corners like a puzzle. But it still does the job. I will just have to use one of my other buckets for mopping water and use the wringer on the other bucket for wringing out the water. The other issue is it being too tall and would be submerged in water if I were to use that set up. I want the wringer to last by minimizing water damage. Really well made just wish it was a little smaller.

Great replacement for the plastic alternatives thet have crept into the mop bucket world.
Great replacement for the new and wonderful plastic alternative thet have crept into the mop bucket world. You have to turn the supports in slightly to fit the plastic bucket but this one actually lets you wring the mops "dry" for a final going over to get wet spots up. And you aren't replacing them once a month when a plastic part fails.

Amazon resold me a defective wringer
I bought a Genuine Joe wringer that was amazon special at a discount price. I was told it had a damaged box. When it arrived the handle was facing upside down. I went to the amazon question and answer/review page and found another review with the exact same problem. her's was defective and amazon send her a replacement. It written by Kathryn Akins 5.0 out of 5 stars "Is this handle upside down?" Amazon had repackaged her's return and sent it to me. I examined the wringer, the handle had been welded in the wrong position, there was no way it could be easily fixed. In order to fix it the welds on the cranking arm had to be carefully ground off, and reinstalled in the correct position. and welded back together. This not a easy job so I called amazon, told them the problem, after our conversation they gave me a fully refund and told me to keep the wringer. do what ever I wanted to it. I had nothing to loose so I decided to tackle the repair. I spent a couple of hours on the repair and I was able to repair it enough to get it working again with hose clamps securing the the parts. it now needs to be re- welded but it is working. It was a fun satisfying project. I tried it and I absolutely love the way it wrings mops out. I highly recommend the Genuine Joe over any plastic wringer out there. yes it fits perfectly in a home depot orange 5 gallon bucket.. I will use two 5 gallon buckets, one for washing the other for wringing. I will make a rolling cart for the two buckets to sit side by side.

It works well
The item is durable and it works well. But my only complaint is the packaging of the items. The boxes come damaged and is always missing a screw or nut. Luckily we have that in our company.

Metal rules! lol
The plastic versions of this are inferior. Broke the plastic one within hours of use. This METAL one is SOLID. NO COMPARISON.

Look no further, you found the perfect wringer!
This wringer not only is built strong, it is mechanically engineered to leverage your strength in the last phase of wringing. It produces the driest mop I have ever come across. A little miracle!
