Nice system for herbs.
This item was as described and functions properly. Pretty good value. Nice system. The water that is retained at the bottom gets a bit stinky as the fertilizer seeps into it.

Perfect for busy lifestyle!
My favorite “set it and forget it” grow style. I use with living soil and bottom water once plants are established. I’ve ran peppers and squash varieties before with no issues. Upgraded the cover but the black one works excellent and easy to cut holes after plotting array. Very happy plants.

Great way to grow
Only way to grow some things around here. We have eggplants that produce huge numbers of eggplants. They never grew just planted in our soil.

good planter
No issue with the product. But I could have had a better deal if I had bought from the earthbox store on amazon which sells the kit with casters, fertilizer and dolomite for the same price.

WOW it really works
I live in Vegas and the ground here is to hard to really dig into and the heat makes it hard for me to plant anything. I bought my first Earth Box several years ago and now own 3. During the spring / early summer months I have grown just about everything you can think of. One is dedicated to herbs, one has tomatoes and basil, and one is for flowers. What I love is that they are light enough to pick up and move even when filled with dirt so if something is showing damage from the sun I can move to shade. The fact that you have a tube to fill with water which goes under the dirt (there is a shelf that fits on the bottem of the box) you can fill it leave for a weekend and not worry about everything drying up. I just use a small amount of fertilizer with miracle growth potting soil and everything I grow turns out nice better than what I grew in ground when I lived in California. Not sure why everything is so easy to grow in the box but it is worth the money to buy the earth box instead of using a typical pot. I have never seen Earthbox products in the store and the only place i know to buy them from is Amazon.

Turn your black thumb green
Have a old one of these from 15+yrs ago. Still working great. Wanted more easy gardening so ordered another. Once set up, just really need to add water 1-2x a week depending on size of plant. They have a great how to on the web. We have had great success with tomatoes and cumbers. They have change the design from the past. I believe a bit better. Has less parts and seems a bit more sturdy. Looked at the others, and for the small saving wasn't worth it. Right its blistering hot where I am. I have tomatoes in a earth box, thriving lots of early tomatoes. also have some tomatoes in a container pot doing kind of ok, no fruit yet. and some in the ground, barley making it.
