Decent info though a little outdated
The book was solid in its advice and history. The author knows her subject and gives good basic information about credit scoring and how it’s derived and applied. Additionally she offers suggestions about how to raise your score, and warnings about what NOT to do, like closing older credit accounts because the longevity of the account and the unused credit balance, may be helping you more than you know. The only downside is that it was written a decade ago and many things have changed since then. But most of the general information still applies.

excellent advice
This book was without a doubt written by someone who knows the ins and outs of credit scores. There is a clear and understandable explanation of the factors most likely to affect your score, how seemingly minor actions can have a major effect, what can be done to improve the score, and how long it will likely take. There is also a section with information on what to do if your identity is stolen. Even if you have great credit, this book will still be useful in avoiding score slippage. I learned a lot and highly recommend this book.

Just Read It
I cranked through this book in about a day - totally worth the time to read it, and it's an easy read. Gave me some good basic insight into my credit score that I didn't know before. I took a few steps in this book (paid off some outstanding loans, decreased my credit utilization, continued paying on time), and within a short period my credit score increased and my credit card provider offered to increase my credit limit without me asking them to increase it. Just read it!

great documented work on credit
This is a great documented work on credit which I read through in only 1 day. I learned a great deal as the author makes the content very easy to read and to understand. I followed the advice given from this book to start building credit so I can buy a house down the line. My credit score is now much higher than it was before and I was asked if I wanted to up my credit score without me even asking for it. Great read!

Everything you want to know (and should know) about credit.
Great Book. This has taught me more about credit and how to maintain it or get it than anything I've ever read on the subject. Or heard for that matter. It's a complicated thing, but everyone needs it to get the best rates on all kinds of things that we acquire. The best advice is to pay your bills on time, every time, And keep your credit balances low and you'll do wonders for yourself.
