The Absolute Best * See Update *
UPDATE:A lady at the store recently said she couldn't eat PLUMS, because her doctor told her to eat PRUNES. So, it occurred to me that maybe some people don't know the difference between Prunes and Plums! Here it is: They are basically the same thing. Just in a different form. PRUNES are a Drier version of PLUMS and PLUMS are Juicier than PRUNES. Both are delicious and both are high fiber. Both are excellent for your colon health and exceptional in recipes. Since Prunes are Drier than Plums, you can hydrate them more by heating water in the microwave for a minute or two. Then putting a few prunes into the heated water. Let them soak for 5 to 10 minutes. Then refrigerate, until cold and eat. It makes a sweet yummy, soft treat. They can be used nearly intermittently in recipes. If using Plums in place of prunes, reduce the liquid content slightly. If using Prunes in a recipe calling for Plums, add slightly to the liquids. HAPPY HOLIDAYSOriginal Review Below:WOW! I really Love These. They taste Great. Recently, I bought a large bag of Prunes at Sam's Club, because they were about the same size and less than half the price. Good Deal, right? Phew. I do not like the Member's Mark brand at all. Yuck!. Glad I just bought one bag. I use the Prunes and Plums for constipation mainly and they all work, but taste matters, too. These taste SOOO much better than the Member's Mark brand. I don't care if they're higher. They're worth it.I recommend these as they taste great and this is a large amount. Thank you for reading my review.

Delightful Dried Prunes: A Succulent Treat
These dried plums are a true culinary delight, offering a perfect balance of natural sweetness and a touch of tartness that tantalizes the taste buds. Each prune is moist and tender, avoiding the all-too-common pitfall of being overly dried out. Their freshness is evident from the first bite, which is a testament to the care taken in their preparation and packaging.Whether enjoyed as a standalone snack or incorporated into various recipes, these dried plums add a depth of flavor that is both unique and satisfying. They work wonderfully in baked goods, lending a chewy texture and rich flavor to breads and pastries. Moreover, they are a fantastic addition to savory dishes, providing a subtle sweetness that complements meats and vegetables alike. In terms of health benefits, these prunes are not only delicious but also nutritious. They are packed with fiber, which aids in digestion, and contain antioxidants that support overall health. Itโs a snack that you can feel good about indulging in at any time of the day.In conclusion, these dried plums are a standout choice for anyone looking for a fresh, flavorful, and versatile treat. They are a reminder of how simple ingredients, when treated with respect, can result in a product that is truly exceptional.I hope my review captures the essence of these delicious dried plums for you! If it does please give a thumbs up!

You Can't Beat This Price!
PRICE: 5/5First off, I used to purchase this very same brand at my local grocery store for around $6 per 12 ounces, which is a pretty steep price. Although they were the individually packaged ones, they were the only dried plums product from this brand that I could find anywhere (I have looked in over 5 different stores with no luck). I was so glad I decided to check out if Amazon carried any dried plum product since the ones in my grocery store were sold out for over 2 weeks. I was in shock at how much more I was paying at my grocery store versus this unbeatable price on Amazon ($10 for 3.5 POUNDS, is this real life?). These prunes could seriously last for months whereas the 12 ounces lasted me for less than 2 weeks. However, I do know that this is cheaper at Costco by one or two dollars, but keep in mind that Costco does not always carry the same products at every stores (or they suddenly remove products and replace them with new ones) so getting them here is a safe bet. Of course, if you don't have a Costco membership, this is the best deal you can get for the quality.QUALITY: 4/5Like I have stated previously, I used to purchase the individually packaged prunes from the same brand at my local grocery store. When I first tried these, they seemed a bit stiffer than the ones I used to buy (which were incredibly soft). The skin of the prune was more elastic, thus making it a bit harder to chew. This might be due to the lack of moisture and how tightly the prunes are compacted in the resealable bag. The inside of the prune had the same quality as the individual ones and were as soft. The plastic bag is very sturdy and comes with a resealable closure. Also, keep in mind these are not organic, but for this price, I'm not complaining.TASTE: 5/5The taste is perfect. These have a natural sweetness with NO ADDED SUGAR/SWEETENER making this the perfect guilt-free snack for when you have a sweet tooth or need some help in the bathroom (prunes have lots of fibers).OVERALL: 5/5If you love prunes, you have to get this product. It will save you so much money considering this is 3 POUNDS for only $10. It will save you time as well going to the grocery store and trying to find dried plums since I know the stores around me have limited selection and inventory of them (not sure why since they have so many health benefits and are delicious!)

Things to know
Ok. This is an important purchase for us. Sounds silly. I know. But, for anyone with an adult Autistic child, you will probably understand that regularity is important and can be a challenge. So, eating these on the daily is an important part of a routine. The challenge with these is the texture. They are too juicy. Again, texture is important thing to consider for Autism. We found our son would not eat these because of the slimy feel. This is a great feature if you are using these to bake with. But we just want him to eat them. So, I have to dry them again. This is with it for these because you get so many for so cheap and they have great flavor. Once I dry them, they are just like he likes them. For those with a Costco card, they are cheaper in stores. I have found them by the candy section if you prefer to get them there. However, if you like the convenience of the subscribe and save, your store doesnโt carry them consistently, or you live far away, this is a great option. I buy them in both places and am completely satisfied. These are consistent and reliable. Again, important for Autism. Thanks for reading.

Long wait but great on arrival
It took six weeks to receive these after I ordered them. To be fair, I knew it was going to be a long wait when I placed the order, but it's worth noting so that people know to check this. Also, the price seems to fluctuate quite a bit, though I was lucky enough to get them when they were low.The good news is that the product is exactly as described in terms of weight and packaging. The expiration date is about 16 months from now, though I'm sure I'll finish these much sooner. Best of all, the prunes are exactly what I hoped for: plump, moist, and very delicious. If you don't mind waiting a long time for delivery and to see if these drop to a price you find reasonable, these are a good option. I definitely plan to buy these again.

Great prunes; moist, tender, excellent flavor
These prunes are great, fresh and full. Great eaten from the bag or in recipes. I like to put them in water and plump them back up...they are perfect on oatmeal and leave a liquor of delicious prune juice at the end. However, we did have to wait over a month from the time we ordered them to the time they were supposedly delivered. I say "supposedly" since the new Amazon Delivery Service alleged they had delivered them to us but instead, when they sent us the "proof" of the picture of the porch to which they had delivered the package, it was not our porch. Fortunately, we were able to identify the neighbor's house to which it had been delivered which was not even on our road but on the main road adjacent to it and were able to retrieve it. I hope they work out the kinks of their new "improved" self-delivery system and train their drivers to check twice to whom they are delivering.

These are not only good...but for those on certain meds they are a necessity!
I really like these Kirkland Signature Dried Plums Pitted Prunes from Amazon. For the amount you get, the price is more than fair, and when you really "need" to eat prunes you want them to do what you expect them to do: help your digestion! It's a real bonus that they taste really good too. I have to take a prescription med for pain management and it causes problems with regularity. When I eat a few of these prunes every day, my bowels stay regular. I do have to be careful to not eat too many at once though, or I might end up running to the bathroom! I fish them out of the bag (which I keep in the 'fridge) with a fork as they are a bit sticky and do stick together. I don't want my hands to contaminate them by digging around with my fingers. Usually 2 or 3 prunes first thing in the morning on an empty stomach with a glass of water (before coffee or breakfast) will reliably produce results. I ran out at one point and decided to try another brand from the grocery. I assumed a prune is a prune. I was wrong. They did not work the same at all! I had to eat more and couldn't count on them to keep me regular. So, now I am going to stay with this brand that I get from Amazon. They ship quickly and I know I am getting a product that not only has a fair price and tastes good, but keeps me healthy and happy too!

Little Known Benefit of Prunes: They're Great for Your Bones! Plus 2 Recipes you might enjoy!
Studies have shown that eating 6 prunes (50 grams) a day helps to prevent and even reverse bone loss! And of course, prunes have other well-known benefits! And, these particular prunes are delicious and moist, and rarely contain pit fragments. While I often prunes right out of the bag, I also use them to make some wonderful recipes :PRUNES WITH WALNUTS - A great little appetizer or dessert!- Sandwich each prune between two walnut halves, as shown in the photo.PRUNES WITH BLUE or ROQUEFORT CHEESE- Make a small slit down the center of each prune.- Place a small piece of blue or Roquefort cheese into the slit.PRUNE COMPOTE - As is or with yogurt. Mashed up on toast like jam!- Fill a glass bowl with prunes. Note: Lightly fill the bowl, don't stuff the the prunes in.- Add some fresh grated ginger. I used about a tablespoon for the quart-size bowl of prunes in the photo. You could also use dried ginger, but then you would use about 1/2 (or less) as much as fresh.- Add 1/2 cup of boiling water to the bowl with the prunes and ginger.- Using a large spoon, mix the prunes, ginger and water.- Place a lid on the bowl to keep the steam in the bowl.- Let the contents in the bowl cool.- Using a large spoon, mix the prunes, ginger and water again. This helps to moisten the prunes more evenly.- Refrigerate.- Before serving, stir the prunes so that they get coated with the syrupy liquid from the bottom.Enjoy good taste and good health!
