Magnetic Fireplace Cover 39"x32" Fireplace Draft Stopper Blocker Indoor

We have intense summers where I live and I noticed some radiating heat coming from my fireplace even though my flue was shut adding unnecessary heat to my living room so I went looking for a remedy. I saw this and I immediately bought it. I don't know why I haven't thought of this or bought it sooner because its amazing!!! Its a quality made product, fits great providing good coverage for the entire fireplace, its thick and insulated extremely well, the magnetic adhesion seals off the area well making it very stable, and its very clean in appearance. It blocks heat/cold in every season and can also be used to keep pets out. Its a win win for me. Wish I had bought it sooner. Truly.

I highly recommend this fireplace cover. This product is amazing! I have been dealing with a drafty fireplace since moving into my house 4 yrs ago. I had no idea products like this existed. It truly has been wonderful to sit on the couch and not be facing the cold drafts. Now, I would say 95% of the drafts have been eliminated. My glass door handles are at the bottom of the glass doors and not in the middle so it is a bit difficult to get the bottom magnets to attach over them. Just a bit of cold air can be detected. I don't think this would be an issue for doors with knobs/handles in the middle. I pushed the dog bed up close with his stuffed toys blocking the bottom edge to address this. Again, I have handles, not knobs, which are at the bottom which I think is the cause of bit of cold coming in due to an imperfect seal. I like the quality of the cover, the multiple magnets versus other brands with fewer ones and the material which will puff after a while. (It comes in a vacuum-sealed bag.) The edges are trimmed as well. Overall, I am very happy with its performance. No more drafts!

This may be the best thing I have bought on Amazon yet. I was walking by our fireplace the other day about 5 feet from it and realized just how drafty and cold it was making our house. We bought this and I will tell you as soon as I put it up I didn't feel the cold draft anymore! It was so easy to install you just pull it out and the magnets stick to the metal frame immediately. They are strong and durable magnets but you are still able to remove and place it better if you need to. It's not heavy other than the magnets but even those are not super heavy. It comes in a vacuum sealed bag and folded so when you pull it out and put it up it has creases but as the days have passed since I put it up, those creases are almost all gone. I got one that fits perfectly and honestly it looks better with this on right now than it does without it. It is very durable and feels like it will hold up for a really long time. I am so excited and my heating and powerbill is too! I honestly will keep this up all year round as I am sure it will help keep my A/C from escaping in the summer. If you have a fireplace I 100% recommend this and for the price it is absolutely worth it!

Love this cover! I’d been looking for a fireplace screen, cover, gate anything for quite some time. Nothing fit and were very expensive. I figured I had nothing to lose by trying this magnetic and cost effective option. It’s great! I get so many compliments and it keeps my dog out of the fireplace which was the intent.

Product arrived promptly & well-packaged. Product's size, weight & overall description was "as advertised". Powerful magnets hold fireplace blanket in place & appears to be of good quality. Will need to measure the dimensions of your fireplace opening to order correct size (multiple size options available). The blanket looks good & keeps fireplace drafts at bay. Very easy to install & can be easily taken off/on. Price was fair. Would recommend this product to anyone in need of fireplace protection/weatherproofing.

Used this to cover the louvers in my whole house fan when using the central air on days too hot or humid for the fan. Too heavy for the magnets to hold it to the ceiling. No worries. Bought some heavy duty 3 M velcro strips and super glued them to the fabric. Attached the other side of the velcro to the fan housing and stuck the insulated blanket over the louvers on the fan. Fit great, no more hot air infiltration through the louvers. Keeps the upstairs noticeably cooler now. Easily removed if I need the fan on cooler days. Made of heavyweight fabric and feels like it's filled with insulation. Sturdy construction should last me forever. Saves me a lot on my A/C bills.

The size I ordered was very close to the opening of my fireplace. Inside that tiled opening was metal - with vents at the top and bottom. I do not have a glass door. My builder cheaped out with a metal mesh “curtain.” I might have ordered tiny bit smaller and still have enough exposed metal for the magnets to grab - but having read the reviews of others reporting that magnets were not at the very edge of the fabric screen, I decided to go for the size closest to my actual opening. Measuring from the inner edges of the tiled opening (not the metal inside the tile), I had a 45.5” wide by 36” tall opening. I ordered the 46” by 35” size since that was the closest to my actual opening. Side to side, the fit is close to perfect. The side magnets have a good grip to the inner metal. The top and bottom magnets hold well, too. The cover does leave an inch of uncovered metal at the bottom of the opening, but it does cover all the vent openings. The cover itself matches the specifications on the seller’s description. So far (3 days) the magnets are holding great but I have my doubts that these are powerful rare earth magnets. Fortunately, I have some very powerful magnets that I can use to supplement or completely replace if necessary. The cover definitely has eliminated heat loss through the fireplace - which was happening even though the damper is completely closed. I can tell that the furnace is not coming on nearly as much as it was before I hung the screen. The real test will start tonight when lows will drop to the teens and continue for three days. A couple of minutes to install, looks OK, low cost, and a lot faster than cutting foam core board or foam insulation board to the precise size.

The cover fit perfect and was easy to install. It's covers the fireplace great to conceal it or to help blocking any drafts. I wished I had purchased it long before now. I recommend this product.

I wish I'd known about these fireplace covers four years ago. We've been fighting a draft from our fireplace every winter, losing tons of money on our heat going right up through the flue. Finally got tired of the cold air and overheating the living room in the cooler months and found this cover on Amazon. I am beyond satisfied with this fireplace cover. I bought the 38x31 and it fit perfectly. I was a little bit concerned because my fireplace has uneven brick all around it, but this cover fit like a glove and was able to cover the entire fireplace no problem. The inside of the fireplace is 36 in wide, and the 38 fit it perfectly because of where the magnets were placed. The quality of this cover is extraordinary, and keeps all the cold air out. I can't believe when people say it's "too thin" or the magnets are "weak". This is absolutely not true. The cover is a really nice quilt design and the magnets are so strong they should be taken off one at a time. This is a quality design, strong magnets, and I have absolutely no regrets. Thank you for making such an excellent product!

Works perfectly and as described. Size is ideal for my fireplace and the strong magnets snap easily into place on the fireplace frame. I have an older fireplace, so the metal frame goes completely around is able to attract the magnets. Winter drafts are now solved and I'm very happy with this purchase

The sizing worked out perfectly. The magnets are fairly strong it's never going to fall off accidentally. It works well since the draft from the direct vent fireplace has greatly reduced. The blanket seems to have a decent R value since it's not cold to the touch even when the other side of the blanket is at 0°C. The main issue is that really they should have doubled the number of magnets or even trippled them or opted for some kind of continuous strip of magnetic material. Or they make it poofy between each magnet instead of tapering at the edges. That's because without a continuous strip the gaps between each magnets still leak a bit of air, mostly noticeable around the sides and not so much the top and bottom. Even when pulled taut to make the sides completely wrinkle free.

Material is about 3/4 in thick, so not bad. A bit thicker would be perfect but it certainly cuts the drafts as designed. It has magnets every 8" or so which are quite powerful but do leave little gaps here and there. Strip magnets or more of the round ones would be a bit better but again it does the job and looks quite nice. I got the largest one to make sure it would fit, keep in mind when sizing that the magnets are an inch or so back from the edge and you may need to turn the edge over to get the proper side of the magnet to stick.. so give yourself a couple of extra inches all around to ensure you can stick it properly. Certainly this is good value for money.

Fit beautifully on my chimney and blocks cold air from coming in. Saves on heating bill when chimney is not in use.
