I recently upgraded my Axial SCX24 and FMS FCX24 with the INJORA 39mm aluminum threaded shocks, and I’m impressed with the performance. Here are some key points: Build Quality: The shocks are machined from aluminum, giving them a sturdy and durable feel. The threaded bodies make pre-load adjustments quick and easy. Huge upgrade over stock SCX24 shocks. Performance: These shocks use oil dampening instead of friction, which provides a smoother and more consistent rebound. The inclusion of bladder seals helps maintain this consistency. Depending on the install location/angle you may have to do some adjustments to get them to work properly. The shocks are about 3mm longer than stock but I would still consider them more of short travel shock which helps reduce body roll and stability. If you are looking for more articulation and travel go with a longer set. Customization: The package includes three different spring rates, allowing for fine-tuning to match your specific chassis setup. Plus, the variety of colors available lets you match them to your RC crawler car. Value: At $20.99, these shocks offer great value for the quality and performance they deliver. Cons: You do have to assemble the shock mount. These parts are very small and can be very frustrating if you do not have the experience. I would suggest looking up videos to make the install easier. Overall, the INJORA 39mm shocks are a fantastic upgrade for any 1/24 RC crawler enthusiast looking to enhance their vehicle’s performance and appearance.

These shocks are great....but you have to do some tinkering. First they were sticking very bad. So I took them completely apart. Where the shock shaft exits the shock body it has a small plastic ring then a rubber o ring then another plastic spacer then a shouldered plastic washer that lines up with the hole in the screw on cap. What happens is the cap gets tightened and it squishes the o ring and makes them stick. Take out one of the plastic spacers and reassemble them. They work perfect! I actually lost one of the internal parts and they sent me new internals even though it was my fault. These parts are supper small. Like use a magnifying glass to work on them small. It took a few weeks to get the replacement parts but they cam through. I have no complaints. And I run them with no oil and they articulate great and just work good. And there about 3mm longer then stock so you dont have to replace a bunch of stuff to use them. Would buy again. In fact.....I did! Lol!!

To echo others, these do stick in what ever position they rest. If you give them a quick pump up and down prior to running, they don't bind back up until left to rest. This is the only reason for removing a star. Once they are moving, these are smooth working shocks. I am running the soft springs as the default medium springs preinstalled raised the body too much. Easy to install and comes with various washers for spacing to move these away from the frame. You will need these otherwise you risk binding on the chassis. I used left over shock oil from my gen 1 SCX10 build and not sure of the weight. No leaks and I've been hammering and slow crawling my 24 since I received these. I would definitely get these again and they are worth the price! The plan is to tear these down, chuck up in a drill and use some 1000-2000 to soften the edges of the internal damper as this may be the source of the sticking when sitting. To me the stickiness is not an issue because I always move around the axles prior to running and drop the rig on the ground from about a foot. If you are running full droop, you may have to pull the axles down ahead of a run. The one fault is not a huge deal and its what we do. Run it, tune it, break it, fix it; rinse and repeat.

These are some nice shocks. I couldn't find the exact size I wanted, but these were just one mm short, so I thought I'd try them. And I'm glad I did. They came with a bit of oil in them, but I added a few drops and they are good to go. The ball ends were too small for the screws that fit my chassis, so I had to put them on my drill press and make the holes larger. It was a lot of work but I made them work. And work they do. I usually run ProLine shocks, but these Injoras seem just as well made to me.

I put these on my GX470 with a bunch of brass parts. They are a little fiddly to install and tune but I managed to set them up at stock ride height with more droop. Exactly what I wanted. The springs installed in the package were the medium stiffness. Those raised the height and I had trouble on steep terrain. Put the light ones in and managed to maintain a good height for approach angle and steep terrain. Still a little tippy. Installed some brass wheels and this truck is crazy capable now. Lightest weight oil I had was 30 and I used that. My heavy truck seems to work well with that weight oil. I filled them a little more than half. Going by what others said my truck would sit at the bottom of travel unless switching to the heavier springs that gave me too much lift. 3/4 full 30wt, lightest springs and some preload works great!

UPDATED: I changed my overall rating from 2 stars to now a full 5 stars... let me explain why. I was unhappy because.. to me at least.. the stiff/heaving spring is far far too heavy. Perhaps if you have a hard body, and, add a bunch of extra things with weight... 'maybe'. I expect for most, even the medium spring will be fine. But, my original complaint was that the lightest spring was still too stiff if you are using the polycarbonate body 'stock' for things like the Jeep. I wrote a review here criticizing the springs and Injora was VERY quick to respond. They advised for me to really double check the amount of oil in the shocks. I had thought 'no way'... I've been filling/bleeding shocks on 1/10 scale vehicles for years and that they must be nuts. LUCKY for me... I said 'what the heck' ... I'll give it a try. WOW ... what a difference. Just taking out about 4 drops of oil made it as if I had dropped down another shock rating. While I might still want a lighter spring to experiment with... I think now the shocks are very good. The shock instructions say not to overfill them. I would suggest to all of you reading this... don't fill them even 90 or 80%. Instead, add about 1/2 of the shock oil capacity and you'll probably fall in love with these shocks. Think of it this way, other shocks on the market for the SCX24 are 'friction' shocks. People out there are putting marine grease in the 'friction' shocks to simulate/cheat and make them perform 'like' these 'sealed' shocks. BUT.. if you try to do that with friction shocks, eventually you'll end up with a sticky greasy mess. So STOP... don't get those 'friction' shocks and instead get these 'sealed' shocks from Injora. Just put a medium oil (perhaps about a grade 25 or 30) and only fill them 1/2 way like I said here. If you want, you can try adding more, BUT, if they are too stiff... that probably means you need to take out some oil like I did.

These are some of the best shocks for your money. They are a drop in installation though spacers maybe required depending on your setup. These finish looks amazing and comes with springs of different stiffness. They have proven durable and I have yet to have a failure with them.

Does what I wanted. Consider this a minimalist way to make your fcx24m better. It won't turn it into a climbing robot which is not what I want for this car so I'm very happy with these shocks. I used top mounting position which will add only a little height vs shorter stock shocks in the middle. Another reason I recommend top/upper position is that these being 39mm vs stock 32mm you will run into drive shaft issues if you try to stretch the fcx24m too high. Using 25w oil, 25% sag, medium springs thumb screw adjusted 75% all the way at the back but only 20% in the front. I'm new to this so forgive me. Drop test and it sits immediately. Lost a star which is harsh, I would have only taken off half if I could: when the car is left untouched for 30 minutes or more the shocks will kind off seize up. I'm ok with that as it's as simple as moving it past that point and they are super plush again. Its only after being parked for too long. I'm sure I will find a work around but I'm not that bothered by it.

Good oil shock, I was sent the wrong shocks but amazon made it right quickly. Fairly short travel. I recommend light weight oil like 20 wt or under. I run 20 and it's good. They do stick after sitting at full decompression but you press them down once before use and you are good to go. No stick until you let it sit again. Does not stick when in use.
