In my town, though the tap water is safe to drink, it is hard and has high mineral content that gives it a taste that some might find strange. The Brita products are a great help in removing the funny taste. I have used some regular Brita filter pitchers in the past, but many times it was difficult to tell when to change the filter. I often was the only user and I was not sure if a time based approach ( 2 month) worked because I was also traveling much and felt like I might not be using 40 gallons in two months. Also, in the old pitchers, I could not remove the top part (that holds the filter) to clean; after a few years, I would see deposits at the base of the container and it was difficult to clean. This pitcher addresses both these issues (replacement tracking, cleaning). I got this pitcher around 14 months ago and the indicator light still works great. As I had suspected earlier, I got the filter change indication for the first filter after more than 5 months, that suggests that I was underusing the filter in my old pitcher. Also, the top part can be removed completely and all parts can be cleaned to one's heart's content and I find that very helpful. Overall, a great, effective, and easy to use product, and a great value for money in the long run. It is large yet easily portable, more efficient due to the indicator light, and easy to maintain and clean; the material is strong and I do not see any cracking/chipping/scratching on the body. The two filters that came with it also added to the value.

It is easy to use, just fill. There is a greenlight that is supposed to show when the filter needs to be changed. That is different from the older models I've had. Water tastes great! And fits in top shelf of fridge. It certainly is saving me money over bottled water; we have very hard water where we live and I was buying bottles. I guess I'm saving 300 plastic bottles a year.

We really like it, it holds quite a lot of water, it fills our kettle twice to boil the water. My husband approved that the water tastes very nice, and I finally can't feel the smell of chlorine when drinking my herbal teas. the only flaw was that we received no instructions with it, so we we drinking unfiltered water for the first 2 days until hubby checked some videos on YT and found out what to do for the green light to come up (it indicates that the filter is still good).

Bought this one to replace my older Brita pitcher. The plastic on this is a lot thinner than my old one. Doesn't feel as sturdy but seems sturdy enough, as long as I don't drop it because it would probably crack where as the old one I think would survive. It is a lot lighter which is nice but I think the older one feels higher quality. The lid design on this one is much better. It's very simple to remove the lid by lifting up the rectangular part near the handle and re-attaching is easy too. When you push down the lid near the rectangular area you hear a tiny click to let you know it's on properly. The filter reset buttons are now on the underside of the lid and the LEDs are encased under sealed plastic. It also pours better; more water comes out faster. The only thing really missing is a cover for the pouring spout which my old Brita pitcher had. I don't like dust or possibly bugs getting into the pitcher. If you put your pitcher in the fridge then the smells from inside might affect the taste of the water also. But overall I'm pretty satisfied with it.

Great tasting water and so clean and clear. Plus I am saving money and helping the environment by not buying plastic bottles. Works perfect for me and I keep it in my room since I drink my water at room temperature. I fill it every day because I am a water drinker. Enjoy!

The Brita water pitcher arrived. It is a great size and easy to get set up. It came with extra filter which was great! Highly recommend this product!
