Works perfectly
Every place around here has started charging $1.50 for AIR. I paid for my air a couple of days ago. The pump turned on, I connected the inflation hose, the pump pumped, after several cycles, the pump dinged indicating that the desired amount of air was in the tire that was indicating it was low. The automated pump did not indicate how much pressure was in the tire and seemed to be preset to 32 lbs with no way to adjust. So, I assumed the tire had enough pressure. When I got back in the car the low tire pressure warning light was still on and the dash readout was still showing only 28 psi. I came home and checked the tire with a pressure gauge and sure enough, it only had 28 psi of pressure. Since I didn't want to keep paying for something I breathe for free, I opened my computer and jumped on the Amazon site and checked the features and ratings on portable tire inflator pumps. This unit had very high marks from a ton of users so I ordered it on Thursday and it arrived today (Saturday). Very fast shipping. I had already read other user's comments and directions on how to use the inflator but still read the quick reference instruction page that came with the pump. According to some users, if you don't follow the connection steps precisely you won't have much success. I started the car, plugged the power connector into the outlet, connected the hose to the tire and waited until it indicated the pressure that was actually in the tire. (The pressure gauge and the low-pressure indicator on my dash readout matched. Good to know the car tells the truth with the warning systems). I set the digital readout to the desired pressure and only then did I turn on the power switch on the inflator. I have used other portable inflators before and this unit seems to be faster at reaching the proper pressure. It increased by about 1/2 psi every 10 seconds or so. When it hit the preset pressure it automatically stopped pumping. The power plug and cord as well as the inflation hose all stored very neatly back in the slots. The inflator comes with a very nice storage bag. I put the inflator in the bag and zipped it closed and then easily stored it in the equipment compartment under the flooring in the back of my SUV. This is a very nice, small, accurate, and easy-to-use inflator as long as you do everything in the proper order. The best part is, I don't have to search around town to find a location that actually has a tire inflation pump and then pay $1.50 to use equipment that my not be working properly. The pump is a bit loud for something so small, but it is not like I am trying to take a nap while it is doing its job

Easy to use and accurate
I was skeptical buying this device because I saw a few reviews saying it didn't work after using it or saying that it stopped working while using it. The device worked perfectly. My tires on my cadillac were about 10 psi under what they were supposed to be because every gas stations air pump in my area either had an out of order sign or the attachment was missing.. so i gambled on this little air pump on Amazon. It's super small and compact which is nice because it doesn't take up a lot space for when you are storing it. Also makes it easily portable. The device is quick to get to the set pressure and also fast when it comes to filling the tires. And according to my cars tire pressure monitoring system, the device had an accurate reading of ny cars tire pressure. It was spot on. After reading the manual. I have a feeling the people who left bad reviews didn't read or didn't listen to the manual. After you fill a tire the manual states to wait a few minutes before moving on to the next tire to give the device a little time to cool down. It also says to store it in a cool dry place. A lot of the negative reviews people said they left it in their trunk.. storing anything electronic in your trunk can make a device stop working especially if you live in states with warmer weather. So words of wisdom just don't store it in your cars trunk. Also give it a small break between pumping air into your next tire. And if for whatever reason it does stop working. Most likely it's either your 12 volt outlet is old and worn out in your car, or chances are you over worked it and the fuse blew (which they do give you an extra fuse). So just follow the instructions! Device is great and worth the money.

Fast and smooth
Aside from not being able to turn the light off, it works smoothly and quick for a small compressor. The digital setting is easy and pump responds as intended. Mechanical fittings work well. Shell is mainly plastic so don't be too rough with it. I hope it will last long.

Worked Great!
I recently purchased this inflator to use on my new car. The vehicle has a low tire pressure warning light, and I wanted to have a way to quickly and easily maintain my tire pressure. The other day my warning light went on, and this past weekend I gout out my inflator and used it for the very first time. I will skip to the bottom line: It worked easily and quickly. I am glad that after much research I chose this particular inflator. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs something simple to use and reliable. More details: The instruction page was clear and got the job done, but there was a reference to screwing on the valve bit, when in fact there is a lever that once you press the valve comver on, you flip 90 degrees, and it locks it in place. No screwing needed. It took me longer to find what my tire pressure is supposed to be, and get the charging wire bundle out of the holder, and untie the bit that holds the long, long cord in a tight figure-8, and plug it in, than it did to use the thing! I read the page one time, and followed the instructions. Plug it in. Turn on the vehicle. Attach the air hose to the valve stem. Set the tire pressure. Turn it on. It is that simple. The unit was not nearly as noisy as I was expecting. It was not quiet, but it was not extremely loud either. I had measured all four tires ahead of time, and they came up as 30, 32, 32 and 32. The range for my tires took it up to 35. So I set the inflator to 34 when I attached it to each tire, and then turned it on. Took maybe 2 minutes for the first tire, and only one minute for the other three. The instructions say the unit should not be run continuously for more than 8 minutes. I probably ran my unit for a total of 5 minutes, in four quick sessions. I did not "cool the unit off" in between. I put the valve cover on, moved to the next tire, attached the air hose, set the air pressure to 34, and turned it on. Very happy with this unit. I like the storage case it comes with too. I have not used any of the extra nozzle attachments. If I had one complaint, it would be that when the unit is on, the built-in light comes on as well. Saves having a separate button to fiddle with to turn it on and off (and one less thing to break), but I kinda wished I could decide when to draw power. But I like having choices. I didn't knock a "star" off the review for that! Don't know how well this unit would inflate a giant inner tube for river rafting, or how long it would need to run to completely fill an empty tire. That 8-minutes max before it needs to cool down could be a limiting factor. But for roadside assistance uses, to quickly re-inflate an under-inflated tire, this was a breeze to use.

It works!
For the price this little pump is a great deal! I have a slow leak from a front tire that needs resealing, (my schedule hasn't allowed me time to address it). Not wanting to pay for air at $2.50/use each time I need to inflate it, I decided to order this pump. While it is rather noisy and sounds like it might rattle itself apart, I don't mind bc/ it works! The head has a lever that should be flipped completely over while placing over the tire valve, if not, you will here all the air escaping from your tire. Once securely in place, relatively quickly flip the lever so it's towards the tubing side. The pump automatically reads the current pressure. Make sure you've set the pump to psi and to your proper/desired number, press the switch and the rest is automatic. It shuts off when done. To disconnect, reverse removal steps just as intentionally as when attaching. I confess I have not checked to see if my manual pressure gauge reads the same as the pump so I cannot speak to its accuracy. It's less of an issue for me since this is just a temporary fix for my peace of mind until I get the tire fixed. It took my tire from 21 to 38 psi in about 5 minutes and that's great! I like that it runs easily off my car's cigarette lighter. I have not checked to see if the electric chord is long enough to reach the rear tires but I can't imagine they would have missed on that. The only suggestion I would make is to make the well where the electric chord is stored just a tad bigger so I don't give up and just store it loosely in the zippered bag they provide. Oh, I forgot to mention, it has a setting that turns on a strong light, because you know, flat tires and night time are a bad mix. I don't know if this little pump is waterproof in the event it's raining buckets, but that would be even nicer!

Worked perfectly
Used for first time yesterday to air up tires on my boat trailer that hadn’t been used in a year. Worked perfect.

So Far, So Good!
My wife had a flat tire recently, and discovered that her "donut" spare was nowhere near the nominal 60 PSI it is supposed to have. Fortunately, the flat occurred at home, where I have an air compressor in my shop. I filled up her spare, and all was well. It got both of us thinking about what would have happened if the flat occurred almost any place else. A friend had mentioned that he had a small compressor he keeps in his car, and I decided to investigate the market. This one is nice & compact, and had good reviews, so I ordered one. We are taking my car on a trip in a few weeks. Once the compressor arrived, I dug out MY spare, and discovered it was only at about 30 PSI. I fired up the new compressor, and in less than 5 minutes, it was up to 60 PSI. Packing the unit back up was quick & simple, and it's actually small enough to fit under the rear deck with the spare. I just put one for my wife in my shopping cart. It is a bit noisy, so it's a good idea to keep disposable ear plugs along with it. It's not loud enough to be painful, but it's easier to think without the racket. I hope to never need it again, but I suspect I will at least use it once a year to top off my spare before our annual summer trips.

Great compressor system for portable 12 volt use
This is a really nice 12 volt compressor system! 1) It is really compact. My other system was much larger and had to go into the car trunk. I bought a smaller vehicle that really does not have a trunk, just a small storage area. This fits well. 2) It has a 12’ cord so it can reach all 4 wheels of my car. You may have to reroute the cable to either the drivers side door or passenger door to reach all 4 vehicles on a larger vehicle. 3) It has a locking tire connection so you don't have to hold it on manually. 4) It has an automatic shut off at the desired pressure so you don't have to continually watch the display. A few notes; If your tire is really flat, the compressor should only be run for 8 minutes before it has to be cooled off. However, if your tire is that flat you probably need a tire repair shop. If it was a slow leak this may inflate your tire enough to get you there. I also use this for my lawn tractor and it is really handy. I have a 120 vac compressor, but it is a pain to set up requiring an extension cord and a 50’ hose. This is easy. On todays cars with the air pressure monitoring the tires are also better and being monitored, they rarely get lower than a few pounds. This system is perfect for touching them up or for the occasional small “nail” leak. Good system at a reasonable price.

Good for small things. Bad for big tires.
If you have a pickup with 55 psi tires, save your money as this thing is useless. You have to let it cool every 8 mins. And its slow. It will take you one hour to fill up your tires. Plus the electric cable is short. It wont reach the back tires. 42-55 psi took 8 mins

Awesome
Awesome little product. Just got it a few days ago and used it this afternoon. Worked like a dream. The only thing I noticed is that there is a 1 psi difference between the Fortem's LCD display and my pencil-style tire gauge that I've used for many years. I'm not sure which is correctly calibrated but it's no big deal (my guess is that the Fortem is probably the more accurate of the two). My tires can handle up to 35 psi so I put 33 psi in with the Fortem and got 32 psi with my pencil-style tire gauge. Overall very pleased. Having a 120 Volt plug is a bonus. Saves so much time and hassle now without having to go to a tire shop or use an air pump at a gas station to put air in my tires. As a result, I will check my tire pressure much more frequently now.

compact, quiet and dual power
Replaced an old cheaper unit with this one. It is so much quieter and very fast. I like the small size & the dual power source was a must as I wanted to be able to use it in the garage for bicycles and inflatables. The zip case is nice to hold all the cords and attachments. I really like that you can set the pressure to what you want and it stops when the target pressure is reached. It is small enough to keep in your car if you tend to have issues with your tire pressure and want the security of being able to inflate where ever you are. The dial is easy to read and it is simple to use. I recommend.
