Has anyone tried this in matcha?

No, not matcha, but I used it in a mushroom chai latte mix that was a tad bitter. The syrup is really good. I only used 1 teaspoon, it's very concentrated. 3 bottles would last me a lifetime, so my daughter took 2 for her boba.

Does this taste like Starbucks Brown Sugar syrup?

Not at all. Not even a little. It taste like boba. The smell is ridiculously strong, I got it because I wanted to make brown sugar shaken espresso and one, worse taste ever. (I don’t like boba)..
