works
one thing this doesn't create an airtime seal on your radiator reservoir so you're going to have to hold it down with your hand to get the required seal

Need to HOLD DOWN cork while running test!!
My car had a blown head gasket that has now been repaired. When the symptoms first arose, it appeared to pass this test. When the symptoms were severe, it also appeared to pass this test until I firmly pressed down on the cork to hold it tightly into the opening of the coolant tank. When I pressed down and held it firmly in place, the test immediately changed color. But there was no color change without pressing on the cork, even after running the test for 15 minutes. The directions do not mention this. I took off one star because the cork isn't airtight enough by itself without being pushed and held down by hand. Also, be careful with the blue liquid. It is easy to pour in too much. It comes out fast.

Works as expected
Stayed blue for 20 minutes with the engine running, reved up several times. Turned yellow with one breath after. Works as expected.

Great value for an easy test.
This test if incredibly helpful and a great value. Here is how I used it: 2013 Toyota Prius (2ZR-FXE) - 212k miles My car was showing classic symptoms of a blow head gasket. The cold-start death rattle. This car has no radiator cap, so I put the plug into the resevoir. The plug fit tenuously. I put the Prius into mainentance mode, so that the engine would run continuously. After about 6 minutes of warm up it began to bubble. By 8 minutes the fluid had turned yellow. Not fun, but conclusive. Additionally, after using K-Seal to try and plug up the head gasket, I did the test again and still got yellow. (Although my cooland level now seems to be steady and not draining.) 2024 Toyota Tacoma (T24A-FTS) - 41k miles This is a test to make sure the fluid remained blue. Again, this radiator has no cap. After a long while warming up and reving the engine I could not get it to bubble. It remained blue. I blew into the bottom of the plastic bubbler with my breath to make sure the fluid turned yellow. It did. 2005 Toyota 4runner (2UZ-FE, 4.7L V8) - 136k miles These engines are not known to have head gasket issues. The plug did not fit well in the radiator cap hole. I had to hold it in place. Once it started bubbling, I let it continue for about 2 minutes and it remained blue. Once again I blew into it to make sure it was working and it turned yellow. I would say that this is a great kit to help determine if you have a head gasket issue.

Second opinion test
This product saved me over $10000. I own a Kenworth semi truck and pressure was building up in the cooling system. After diagnostic mechanic told me there is a major problem with the engine. I found out about this test, bought it and performed 2 times on different days. Test liquid didn’t changed the color so I got a little hope that there is something else. Later after some other diagnostic it was confirmed that it was my air compressor failing, not the engine. I recommend everyone do do it if suspected engine failure. First time I just put the plug and run the test, second time to ensure it is air tight I hold it with my hand. Easy to perform the test.

Not bad, not great.
Cone that goes into the rad cap or overflow tank is a bit to solid to fit and stay in the cap locations. With patience and a steady had it will work. It could use some improvement. But it works for the money.

Goed voor Controle
Dacht dat mijn BMW 325i n52 een lekke koppakking had. Dacht bestel ik dit maar om te kijken als dat werkelijk het geval was. Gelukkig geen lekke koppakking🥳

Basic but effective combustion leak detector.
Worked as it should. I like the fact it takes very little fluid for each test. Verified exhaust gas getting into cooling system after other diagnostic procedures. You need to understand this is one of a few methods for determining headgasket & cylinder head leaks. Good value. Wish it came with more fluid.

Efficient and simple to use
I bought it to check a possible head fasted issues as there was a coolant loss in my Chevy Colorado. The test was negative, it didn’t change color and I left it for a very long time (30 min) just to make sure. I tested the liquid on a cup near the exhaust and immediately tuned yellow. I like that is compact and easy to use. I suggest removing a cup of coolant from the radiator to avoid mixing it with the coolant during the test (only if you are reving the engine).
