Bright
The quality of the light is so good, there’s a remote control for the lighting. The value for money is great, the light is a 10/10 no flickering. And the light is adjustable and suitable.

Perfect for my planted tank
Works incredibly well and the WRGB is actually helping my green plants grow red now. It fits my tank well and the adjustable ends make it much more stable when I bump it... But I now have two and love how easy it is to use the dimmers for each colour selection and the timers making it easy to set and leave.

Perfect for any style tank
Love this light. Bright white for the plants for a while, light tan for a natural look, and deep blue for a night time vibe. When I switch to blue, my guppies and corys have learned it's feeding time.

Nice light
Nice light , bright and works well minus remote , that would not correctly from the start. They need to relook at the construction of the remote but light is really nice

Great! Not sure how well it'll grow plants but I'll update after a few weeks
So far, 5 stars. I cannot speak to how long it will work or whether it will grow my plants well enough but so far, this looks like exactly what I needed. There are many many different modes. You can change the type of light, whether it's blue light, full spectrum, some different mixes and different levels of brightness. It is a bit confusing trying to figure out which mode you need or how many clicks but I'm sure I can figure it out. It's a click style so you will be clicking a lot. I need to further read the manual because I would like to set it on a timer but when I press timer the only mode is the dimmest setting. The size is perfect for what I needed. I am using this on a geckos enclosure and I measured the tank 17.5 but I wanted to be able to have it across the tank as well so I got this size I love that you can adjust it and it's very easy to do so. It seems very sturdy and well made. This plug is a two prong with no ground. Bulky block though. It's also very sleek looking compared to the bulky expensive led plant light I got from Lowe's as a temp solution.

Absolutely Amazing
I initially only looked at wattage for the lamp and I've actually ordered two different sizes now! They both came packed well, very nice and light weight to rest on the top of my open tank. My tank is a 29gal tall with a length of 30.25inches. The brackets are a little sketchy to place above the tank. I used black gorilla tape to secure it to the edges for my own wellbeing. This completely changed the look of my tank, as im slowly moving to a live setup. I have only had it for a night but its amazing. Definitely worth it. I added my before and afters, from a smaller light to the large overhead one. Edit: few weeks later. I accidentally have spilled a little bit on water on the light and had no issues with it. Sometimes im a bit clumsy with water changes and the light did not faulter. I recommend!

3 Stars – Good Light Output and Customization, but Timer Limits Practical Use
I’ve been using this light on a planted aquarium, and while it performs well for the price, there are a few design limitations that make it less convenient for long-term use—especially if you rely on consistent lighting schedules. My Tank Setup (for context) Tank: 20 gallon Stocking: Honey gourami, guppies, neon tetras, Endler’s livebearers, cherry shrimp, mystery snails, and ramshorn snails Plants: Vallisneria (background), Amazon sword (center), Amazon flame (corners), dwarf grass, frogbit, moss on spiderwood Hardscape: Spiderwood, additional wood, and coral Filtration: Aquarium Co-Op sponge filter Additional: Pothos (devil’s ivy) cuttings growing out of the tank Performance & Features Light Output: Bright enough for low to moderate plant growth. It provides good spread across the entire 20-gallon tank without obvious dark spots. In my setup, running the light at full spectrum at 80%, it still reaches plants under floating frogbit and maintains solid coverage across the whole tank. Customization: You can adjust both color spectrum and brightness, which makes it easy to fine-tune the look of the tank. Value: For the price, it delivers solid performance compared to other budget lights. Key Limitations No 8-Hour Timer Option: This is the biggest drawback. An 8-hour photoperiod is standard for many aquariums, but it’s not available here. Using an external timer is possible, but you lose the ramp-up feature, which can lead to sudden lighting changes that may stress fish and shrimp. Timer Resets After Power Loss: If the light is unplugged or loses power, the timer restarts from that moment instead of resuming the schedule. This makes it difficult to maintain a consistent daily cycle. Mounting Stability: The brackets don’t grip the tank very securely and can slide around. A rubberized coating would make a big improvement. No Locking Mechanism: Once adjusted to fit the tank, it doesn’t lock in place and can shift unless secured. Tips for Buyers If you plan to use an external timer, set the light to its “always on” mode—but be aware you’ll lose the ramp-up feature. Try to avoid unplugging the unit once your schedule is set, or the timer will reset. Adding non-slip material (rubber pads/tape) to the brackets helps keep it stable. If you want a true set-it-and-forget-it system, look for a light with a programmable timer and memory backup. Best suited for low-maintenance setups where small adjustments aren’t a big issue. 1-Week Update After a week of use, the light has been consistent—no flickering or drop in brightness. My plants are responding well, and overall tank appearance has improved. That said, the timer limitations quickly became noticeable. Having to work around the schedule and avoid unplugging it adds some inconvenience. Long-Term Use Update (Ongoing) Over time, the lighting performance has remained stable, but the usability issues stand out more: The timer limitations remain the biggest drawback The mounting still requires occasional adjustment unless secured Brightness and color quality have held up well with no noticeable decline If you value automation and consistency, these issues may become frustrating over time. Bottom Line This is a solid budget aquarium light with good brightness and customization options. However, the timer limitations and mounting design prevent it from being a fully convenient, hands-off solution. Best for: Budget setups and casual use Less ideal for: Users who want precise, automated lighting control Rating: 3/5 With a better timer system and improved mounting, this could easily be a 4–5 star
