I am mostly pleased with these tearing rulers. A few of the patterns do not tear as well but slow snd steady you can get them to work. There’s several deckle type edges and those tear pretty quickly. There’s a great straight edge too. The weight of ruler is fine, just place on a firm surface and hold down with the opposite hand.

Alright, let me first tell you that these are far from being a ruler type material. This metal is super thin. If I had to give you a for instance comparison, I would say they are about as thin as the little metal cutters that come on a tape dispenser. Very thin!!! To the point where they flex way to much while trying to use them for the purpose they were meant for (tearing paper into shaped edges). You need to make sure you run your hands or fingers down every inch where it is ripping the paper, or it will bend up your ruler. Too much of a bend and it will ruin it. Believe me, These just feel like glorified aluminum foil. I guess you could buy 2 sets and epoxy a couple of them together to make them a bit more rigid, but who wants to have to do all that nonsense. Personally speaking, I would avoid buying this set and seeing if maybe there is a better set out there that is made as thick as a normal ruler. A set that don’t feel like it was made out of a doublemint gum wrapper. I hope this review helps a few of you out before you buy this foil set here.

These tearing rulers are the bomb. They are thin, yes, but that makes it so much easier to tear and control the paper. The center slits enable you to see and align the edges of the paper, avoiding unwanted tear angles. There are six different rules for a huge variety of tear options. The set also comes with two water markers to make tearing thicker papers an easy task. All of this for an amazing price! Who could ask for more?

They’re big. They’re metal. They have different edges. Everything sounds amazing! What a deal! No. They all had the same two edges. There was no variety like in the pictures. And they may be metal but they’re so incredibly flimsy that sitting packaged in the box got them bent during shipping. I almost snapped it bending it back. The durability is nil.

The rulers are flimsy. Won’t tear paper thicker than printer paper without bending. If you brace the whole ruler it will tear light card stock.

I would have thought since these were made of metal and were $27 for the set of 6, they would have been more durable and sturdy thicker. Very disappointed.
