Bug Soother Natural MAX Tick & Mosquito Repellent Spray, DEET-Free, 8 oz

Love this product for keeping away mosquitoes. It smells good and it's effective. It has natural oils which makes me feel better than using off or mosquito repellent with deet in it.

I am a biting bug magnet and have tried any number of repellents. This is the one that really works. Since I started using it I have had maybe 1 or 2 in a week instead of multiple every day. This has a pleasant scent, does not sting, and contains nothing harmful. Saved my sanity and my budget - I was scratching constantly and buying every anti-itch cream on the market but have not needed them since I started using this product. The only complaint I have is that the spray bottle nozzle frequently sticks so I bought my own spray bottle and transfer the liquid. Don't want to be without this. I have reordered multiple times.

The Bug Soother Max Extra Strength Natural Repellent does a decent job keeping gnats, ticks, and mosquitoes away, and I really like that it’s DEET-free and made in the USA. The herbal smell is pretty strong at first, but it’s definitely better than the harsh chemical scent most bug sprays have. My only complaint is that you have to reapply it fairly often to keep the bugs away, especially if you’re outside for a long time. Overall, it’s a good natural option and worth it if you want something safer and more eco-friendly.

This is a very good product because it works. It has a very pleasant smell also. This us not greasy and the best we've used to keep bugs off.

I get bit by ??? every time we take our pup to the park (which is pretty much nightly). Whatever it is it crates large bites that sting and itch for a week or more - probably some type of small spider (?). I keep a “The Bug Bite Thing” with me, but often I don’t know I’ve been attacked right away. Soooooo, I researched repellents and ordered this in the Max concentration. It doesn’t say it repeals spiders but I’m giving it a go and so far so good. I also spray it into the palms of my hands and rub our dog down with it. He’s very small (10#) and low to the ground so it’s a possibility that whatever bug this is, piggybacks on him and snacks on me later. It smells ok, not great but not bad. No one has complained nor complimented and I’m ok with the scent. I keep the small spray bottle in our golf cart or on my push cart. One of the large bottles is difficult to spray (hard to push down the top) and it leaks when I finally get it to spray; I find it difficult for that reason to spray my ankle area - the other large bottle sprays more easily. I’ll save the problem one to refill the others. These 3 bottles will get me through the summer and maybe next summer too! If I continue to get bitten, I will update.

I really wanted to love this stuff. It is incredibly effective at keeping bugs away and it does it without deet or any harsh chemicals. But good lord...it smells HORRENDOUS. The cacophony of essential oil smells is an assault on the senses. I expected Citronella and Lemongrass, but those scents combined with all the others (particularly the clove oil) makes this stuff absolutely revolting. My dogs and cat won't come near me if I have it on, my husband can smell it across the room, and I can't stand being around myself if I have it on. I am keeping the bottles because they are very, very effective, so I will use them on the rare occasion that I go walking by myself away from all humans and pets (usually if we are camping or something). And only if I'm planning on immediately taking a shower afterwards. If you want an all natural solution that doesn't make you impossible to be around, try Nat Patch. They work and while they do have a pretty strong citronella smell, it's isolated to the patch which you get to remove when you come back inside and they don't scare away my dogs or my husband. :) And it works great!

This spray lasts a lot longer than the aerosol products. Like ten to twenty times as long. Works great and keeps the bugs away. Smell is not terrible and definitely not anything like the smelly do nothing commercial brands.

It works. I am currently in an area of Florida where Hurricane Ian took out all the creatures that eat mosquitoes and no-see-ums. So these horrible blood sucking insects have multiplied to where they are more than a nuisance. There’s 21 bites just on my arms. I am the one they love and that usually means anyone around me is safe. But my whole family is bit up too. It’s like they’re starving and we showed up just to be their feast. They are ruining our vacation. So I ordered this along with $100 of other things to try. They still approach me when I spray this, but I see them fly away when they get close. Sadly due to their numbers, they are still biting where I haven’t sprayed - like my jaw and toes. And through my shirt! Seriously. Choice words. So it does work where you spray it. And I would suppose that if I wasn’t in a petri dish environment with famished microscopic monsters, it would work even on areas I didn’t spray. The scent is bearable. And I like that it doesn’t have deet. I also sprayed it on my dog’s back to keep them away as he is low to the ground and stirs them up in the grass. I see them fly away from him too. It works but I do have to apply liberally for total repulsion.
