Park Tool BBT-69.4

Used to mount/dismount centerlock rotors without any issues. No slippage, very sturdy and effective. Have not used it for bottom bracket yet.

I have not used this on a bottom bracket, but I used it to remove and install Shimano center lock brake rotors on a new set of carbon wheels and it worked flawlessly. I'd never performed this task prior to using this tool, but had no problems at all. Precise and snug fit between the tool and the notches in the rotor lock ring. My only question is why it's also described as a pedal tool. Not sure how it would be used to remove/install pedals.

Splines securely engage the notches on the threaded BSA bottom bracket. I allows removal and installation without marring the BB. Different threaded BSA bottom brackets have different diameters and number of notches, so be sure to get the correct tool for the job. I needed two different ones, one to remove the old BB and one to install the new one.

As with most Park Tools, this bottom bracket tool is beautifully made: every surface is beautifully machined, and the anodizing is absolutely perfect. I believe it's well worth the premium over similar (aluminum) bottom bracket tools, especially if you need a domed tool to remove very shallow rotor lockrings. However, if you need to work on very tight bottom brackets, this is not the tool: it *will* break. My first BBT-69.4 had a few teeth shear off, and the socket deformed entirely. Thankfully, Park Tool's customer service was excellent. They replaced the tool for me free of charge since they recognize bottom brackets can come overly tightened from the factory. For tight bottom brackets, I would highly recommend the BBT-19.2 over the 69.4 as it is made of steel rather than aluminum, and I would also recommend the BBT-RS to help keep the BBT seated securely while you get the bottom bracket to loosen.

You can never go wrong with Park Tool. I used for the lock ring on my disk rotor. Great fit.

I like good tools, I love good tools made in the USA. Park tools are expensive, but they are precision made, fit right and are easy to use. Park engineers are pretty sharp in my book.

Used to remove/replace a bad bearing and install new shimano replacement. No issues, easy to use.
