Ideal for Remote Locations
This unit is my Second 1st bought 6yrs ago and is by traveling companion with a Monthly1.2Gb Data limit.Best reception in a built of Area can just be? Upstairs v's Downstairs or Front of House v's Back of House for the Sim Provider you are using! For a fixed location Understand where the Providers Masts are what the Provide gives to the user? What you intend to Use the received Signal for?Laptop Updates require Good DownloadSmart Phone require Good UploadBoth have to be Reliable and Continuous SignalTest the Speeds with various Pay As You Go testing of the Available Masts before committing to a Sim only contract! My Wireless Router is 30 miles away in a Direct Line of site Location using a Sim with Unlimited Data and 100m/s speed limit with good Upload & Download at 20m/s plus, No issues updating Laptop Software! If no Line of Sight then you may have to Consider options eg I have an application using a 3m mast with antenna on the top.The other available mast approx 5 mile in the same general location, that Provider fails regularly! Remember Buyer Beware do the home work! What they say is not always what you get!!Pay As You Go lets you test before you buy?

Bought a Spanish SIM card and it works a treat
Bought this to get Wi-Fi in Spain.I bought a Spanish SIM card from the local phone shop and it works a treat. We use it for the TV in the motor home and for the mobile phones.Nice bit of kit.NB It needs to be plugged in to work (English 3 pin plug).

Simple to set up
Easy to use. Pop a Data only SIM card in and turn it on. Search for the WIFI enter password and it's good to go. I'm using mine in a caravan on the coast so I'm on the limit of 4G coverage. The box picks up full mobile signal better than my phone does. Internet speeds on one device is as good as most homes. 2 devices and it starts to slow right down. I can online games and stream music to my phone at the same time. That said , it's only as good as your network and the coverage. It's way better than using your phone as a hotspot if you're not using home broadband.

Great so far!
I was looking for an internet solution for my caravan and after a lot of research and deliberation I settled on this product. It is so easy to set up and it works a treat. I also bought a poynting Mimo 3 aerial to use with it but so far haven't needed it.Just the router on its own picks up a decent signal for all 5 of us to use a variety of devices with no lag.I have read that others have had theirs fail after a few months and poor customer service but for me I am very impressed so far.Very pleased and would recommend.

Device is still locked
We tried everything to make this product work…. Spent hours trying to unlock it, as we kept being directed to a page where it was asking for the unlock code.We tried it with a three SIM card and a smarty sim, all pay as you go with unlimited data. None of them worked in this device. We did exactly what other buyers did, but it didn’t work for us like it did for the others. All of our researching told us that the device wasn’t unlocked (the Huawei web page we kept being shown once the sim was inserted, asked for the unlock device code) and it said we had to contact HUAWEI to unlock it. In the description of this product it says it’s unlocked and ready to use, but our device, very sadly, was not.We also have excellent 4g & 5g coverage in our area, but once the sim was inserted with the device on, our devices could find the router but we kept being shown the web page asking for the unlock code.We are returning the product and are now using hotspots via our phones which have unlimited data and they work brilliantly with our strong 4g coverage. It would help to have a users guide, at least something to help buyers if the devices aren’t working as promised.

Works flawlessly
We got this as Virgin we're ripping off my parents and they needed internet. We brought a £25 unlimited data SIM on Amazon to go with it and set up was really easy. 2 months later and everything is working great. They have a few things connected to the WiFi and when me and the wife visit with our kids we all jump on the WiFi too with no problems. It's a great bit of kit and worth the money. I might even ditch sky and get one myself. They save a fortune.
