Golden Mystery Snail - 1/2"-2" - Algae Eater for Aquariums

Our little gold mystery snail arrived safe and sound with instructions! He was immersed in the tank and came out to explore quickly. Happy with this new friend from a caring seller.

OMG they are so adorable. They all came alive. And it didn't take them long to come out of there shells and to make a home in my fresh water tank. we were lucky case our started to show (LOVE) if you get what I mean witch was so cool to watch. And they came in different sizes witch I love and I have one that has a lot of brown on it and I thought that was so awesome case not all of them look the same. I can see the little red spots on there foot and there eyes. There are fun to watch and they are very sweet and they love to eat some veggies like zucchini and stuff like that. SO I will be BUYING more from this company and I have another tank that needs some so next month I will be coming back to this place and buy them hear case at least I know they come 100% alive. And they are packed nicely and they came in 3 days. So that is not to bad. So if you are thinking of pets snails theses are the ones to buy. You will not be sorry.

Snail was dead when received

So pleased!! We received 2 very healthy and beautiful snails. They are so much fun to watch, it had been years since I have had any snails, and I only wish I had ordered sooner! Packaged very well. After a gentle rinsing, I added them to our tank. Didn’t take them long to acclimate and stretch exploring their new home. These little fellers are very active, an already making a very noticeable diffrence in cleaning algae and debris. Their golden color is eye catching. We just love watching to see where they are now, the are traveled! I believe the Betta has adopted them and seems quite taken by their new tank mates. No aggression, just curious.The most amazing thing-I was away for 2 weeks- and came back, they both have grown TWICE their size. Thru were tiny babies, of course, when they arrived. So it appears they are as happy with their new home as we are with them.

I’m using the SpongeBob theme so right now I have Gary the snail Larry what should be a lobster but he’s a snail and I’m waiting on a white one to come her name will be pearl which was a whale, Perfect little critters arrived safe Package and a quarter pint container with a paper towel and a quarter of inch of water put them in the tank went to the bottom and then they were off cruising the tank like there’s no tomorrow I hear that they do sleep for up to 30 hours I googled them they can breed but They like to breed on land ,,,but if you have more than a an inch or two to spare that’s dry of no water on top of your tank it can happen it will look like a cocoon ,there as well they are very very pretty at the moment the size of a nickel bright yellow popped their little heads out the fish were curious ,They went up to them but did not bother them I have African cichlids my pH is high which My tanks are I am likely to purchase more I’m waiting on a white one ...there speedy buzzing all over the tank, not likely to breed in captivity but it can happen I’m hoping to wait till they get big I may be saying things but I swear they grew overnight definitely buy a 5+ Star,I also think mine are boys you can tell Google it red horns are here I had I also think Mina boys you can tell Google

The snail came early, I wasn’t home and didn’t get a notification about it. Mind you, I live in Las Vegas with over one hundred degree weather. So I start busting my tooshie home thinking I’m going to be enjoying some boiled escargot for dinner. The packaging wasn’t the best, usually when I order through mail they come in a styrofoam box to regulate temperature but NOPE! Dude was chilling in a plastic bag wrapped in newspaper. He was sucked up into his shell and floating around in his own poop. I felt so bad and was sure he was dead and my own negligence was what killed him. Defeated and upset, I held the lil guy in my hand one last time before giving him a proper send off. Suddenly, I felt suction and movement! Lil dude was alive! I put him into my tank and almost immediately he started peaking his lil red eyes out to take in his new surrounds. He’s an energetic lil guy, I’ve spent all day watching him explore his new home and eating all the built up algae. He’s so fast too! I’ll look at him and suddenly he’ll be on the other side of the tank. I named him Citrine, after one of my favorite crystals. Although I love him, and he deserves 5 million stars after what he’s had to go through, I have to give this company 3 for irresponsible live animal packaging, also because I’ve seen a lot of posts saying these guys only live for a few months and have died for unknown reasons.

So first, the critical: The bag they came in developed a leak in transit. I didn't take a picture of that because I was immediately worried about the snails being out of water. Picture of the wet box is attached.Mildly disappointingly, they're not golden as in the pictures, but their shells were undamaged and they're a decent size.Now for the good: I was worried about transport temperatures so I ordered them express. They got here 2 days ahead of time! I'm especially glad because of the leak, but I would have been very happy with that regardless.They're also SUPER active. I've got 2 smaller (3 gallon) tanks with a runaway algae problem that smaller snails are only barely keeping managed. These 2 guys were up and at it the next day and have been zooming around the tanks ever since (4 days). They seem happy and healthy! They're faster to withdraw than my bettas are to bite (oh thank goodness!)I'm overall happy and would definitely buy from this seller again, hoping the packaging situation was an aberration.

Love this purchase, arrived on time. Like that they explained why the packing came in the manner. 3 days and still living. Wow he is a fast little criter. Named him/her TURBOstill living and active one week.previously purchased from pet store purchases died same day as purchase. yes more $$$ but alive and well. Thank you for great service
