Nicer quality than I expected.
Initial feel and install impressions are good. The quality for the price is very good. I know people comment about it being expensive, but for the quality:price ratio, I'm very happy. The handle feels much nicer than the flat one on my 2500 MQ. I think I mostly like that the handle is farther away from the rod, it feels more comfortable up to my shoulder. The knob itself is taller, the arm is the same dimensions for its mounting points. It is a little heavier than the stock flat plastic handle but I doubt that will be a big deal. I have 2 standard BG reels in larger sizes I will probably get these handles for now after seeing this one. I also like the black anodized finish and shape of the arm vs the graphite colored stock unit. It is not the same Diawa arm with a new knob. I titled this "nicer than I expected" because I read some harsh reviews on this. I was a machinist for 20+ years and I'm impressed with the quality of this item for the price.

So smooth!
Yes, this handle is expensive! But after my buddy raved about his new Penn reel and especially the ball handle and how much better it felt, I figured I’d give it a try for my prized Daiwa BG MQ 2500 reel. And it does not disappoint! It looks fantastic and very complimentary of the actual reel itself. It looks well-made, turns super smoothly, and while I haven’t caught a monster fish on it yet, it’s definitely got a solid feel and grip to it. Does the Daiwa BG MQ 2500 need this handle? Absolutely not! But will this handle make a difference in the feel and handling of the reel? I absolutely believe so! So much so, that I bought one for my Daiwa BG 2500 too! 😉 So yes, it’s expensive but definitely worth it!

Excellent Quality and Fit
I’m very satisfied with my purchase. Perfect fit to my BG MQ 20,000. Here in the NorthEast you can always find a charter to go for the bigs. I think the round power handle will help when it’s time to strap in and fight. Tight lines!

What an immediate improvement for a great reel with a terrible knob. I bought this for a Daiwa BGMQ 4000. It’s a great reel but the knob it comes with is garbage. This is the handle it should have come with. Excellent quality!

Big handle is nice for big fishing
I love the big handle when reeling in a king or big red grouper. It makes your grip more stable and it looks good
