This gives me hope. Love the hydrating puree.
First off: It got here quick. I ordered it Monday and with prime I got it by Wednesday. I'm so glad to have this. Anyone who has a cat with kidney issues that won't eat the prescription food, knows the desperation you feel. "How am I going to keep my cat alive if he/she doesn't eat!" I had been giving him the Weruva Phos Focus lickable treats to help wash down the Gabapentin he had to take after his dental surgery. Before the dental surgery he was eating the prescription food much better, to the point that it brought his levels down to nearly normal, which is why he could have the surgery in the first place. We suspect that it may be the Gabapentin that changed things. He lost weight. Anyway, to make a long story longer, I researched, and found the Weruva Phos Focus wet cat food. I talked to my vet. She said "Go for it." I put a spoonful in the dish to see if he was even going to eat it at all. He ate the whole thing! So I mixed a half can of the Phos Focus and a half can of prescription kidney, and put it in front of him. He started eating it! He didn't eat it all, but he ate enough to give me hope. I know a few reviewers said their cats won't eat this. I hope mine continues to. We can't give up. Do whatever it takes. We have to keep these babies eating. My vet said for my cat with kidney issues, keeping weight on him, and keeping him hydrated, are the most important things right now.

Not a good choice
My cat hated it. She didn't eat for two days until I changed her food.

Better for my cat Riley
My 19 year old cat has beginning kidney concerns so I bought this due to it does not have phosphate. Something you want to avoid feeding them. My cat loves it and no prescription needed.

Unfortunately, cat does not like it
The cat doesn’t like it at all. Funny thing is he likes to lick sticks with the same flavor. I doubt it’s the product flavor so it must be the texture. I don’t know that that is a reflection on the product, however.

Great idea, but in reality...
My oldest kitty has early kidney disease, so I wanted to get ahead of it with better food. The number one reason I tried this is because it didn't require a prescription. I really thought I would have a winner with this, because he almost exclusively eats chicken and white fish, but that's not the case; he doesn't like it. I've taken to mixing it with his regular food a couple times a week in order to use it up. I tried some other foods for renal support, and he likes none of them. I might try this again in different flavors to make certain before I give up. As of now, because I can't wait until I test them all, I'm using a phosphorus binding powder in his regular food a few times a week. If he would have liked this, then I would continue buying it. I think the quality is good, but as all cat owners can tell you, it's just a personal preference for each cat.

My cat immediately loved this item
My elderly cat's food needs to be controlled for both protein and phosphorous, but she does not (yet) need a prescription-level food. I initially tried her with this Tilapia & Chicken formula, and she immediately loved it. I was a bit surprised, because some other reviewers mentioned that their cats were somewhat reluctant. I then decided to order a mixed variety of this WX Phos line, and YES, she very happily eats all the flavors. Both my kitty and I are very happy campers!

Not My Cats
They cases are packaged very nicely, but that didn’t matter to my cats. None of them will eat this. It’s dietarily for renal disease cats, & I’ve tried small portions, putting something they like as a topper on it, etc… Nothing has worked. Both my renal cat & my healthy cats won’t touch it. I gave up & donated the rest of it because it felt so wasteful to just keep serving it & then throwing it out. I’m not a cat, but it doesn’t smell bad to me; however, the texture is a little different than other foods. I had really hoped my renal cat was going to like it.
