The WD_BLACK 1TB SN850X NVMe internal gaming SSD has been a great addition to my setup. It works just as well as my more expensive FireCuda drive, with excellent speed and performance. The heatsink is a nice touch, keeping the drive cool during long gaming sessions. The installation was easy, and the drive is fully compatible with my PlayStation 5. The read speeds are impressive, and I’ve noticed quicker load times and smooth performance in my games. Overall, this is a great value for a high-performance drive. Highly recommended for anyone looking to upgrade their storage without breaking the bank.

I self identify as a caveman and this was easy to install and format. The PS5 recognized it immediately and I formatted it and it was good to go. I would suggest searching for a walkthrough on YouTube just to be sure what and where you are taking off from your console. Plenty of options on there, depending on your model/generation of PS5.

Purchased for $95 in 2024. 1TB was all I needed. Lightning fast and reliable. Still holding up. Using this for my PS5.

Got this day one when I got my PS5 and never looked back. Plug and play functionality and with the factory built heatsink for dissipation and it’s solid construction, it’s never given me issues. Blazing fast read/write speeds and no data corruption after years of use now. Highly recommend this SSD.

Hello to anyone reading this, this is the first review I'm writing, but I'll try to be as informative as possible. I bought the SSD to use on my PS5 (standard edition with bluray disc player, not the slim version), I ordered it on September 4th 2023 and received it on the 12th of the same month. It's May 28, 2024 as I'm writing this, so I've been using the SSD on my console for 8 months now, and I've never had any hardware or software problems with it, the installation was trouble-free and so was the formatting, I use it to store my PS5 games (I keep PS4 games on the main storage) and whether it's for downloading, moving, or simply launching games everything is done quickly, I've never had any slowdowns with it or heating problems. I highly recommend this SSD for anyone looking to upgrade their PS5 storage. It's a reliable and noticeably faster storage solution.

It was a gift for my boyfriend's dad and he loved it! A really great gift to give to someone!

This SSD (Solid State Drive) is the best for the ps5 there’s other ones too but this one is the best because it has a built in heatsink which stops your ssd from overheating which prevents slowing your game. This one also has good speed and is faster than the ps5 itself so this one can actually speed up your loading screen time. Although it says 7100 - 7300MBS it’s actually 6226MBS which is still fast and faster than the PS5 itself so your still not missing out on any speed.

Highly recommend works fast no problem with install
