Credit where it's due, I'm really impressed. I noticed a few reviews where people said there's no holes for the string to go through - that's because they didn't loosen the thumb wheel because they clearly don't understand how locking tuners work! They look great and do the job perfectly, and very low priced.

Great value for money and look fantastic. I used them in an old Epiphone I have been restoring, they fitted with no problems and I didn't have to adjust the size of the holes to accommodate them. One star off just because the end of the locking tuners pin was a little sharp, and even without excessive tightening my high E string broke at that point only after one week. I have now sanded this and fingers crossed will be fine. However, that said, for the price point I would still recommend

These are the best locking tuners in the world. Seriously spot on kit, recommended. Put them on all ten of my electrics.

These are awesome, they look good and tune perfectly. Hold tune well and I don't have any complaints. However, they may be difficult to install depending on your guitar. My holes were slightly too small but I managed to press them in with a clamp so they are nice and tight. This is risky because the wood could split so you have to judge it carefully. Another option would have been to drill the holes and make them bigger or send the pegs back. I'm more than happy anyway.

Excellent product meets requirements at a fair price

The holes for the strings aren't even there. Have tried drilling them out. But too hard. Looking at other reviews this is a common issue. Have been in contact with the seller for months. And never get any reply. Just an email asking for more information. Then nothing. Would not recommend.

The tuners were purchased for my Yamaha APXT2 acoustic guitar, the new tuners are an exact fitting match of the original ones, so no drilling etc required and the changeover was very easy, you also do not need to change the original bushings. They are a definite improvement over the originals in both looks and stability, with the benefit of also being locking tuners, so string changes are easier and quicker. They look far more expensive than they actually were, they are very good looking and have that vintage Gibson look about them that surprisingly looks good on this guitar. The negatives. I read other reviews prior to purchase relating to "sharp" edges that broke the string when tightening the locking screw, which I can confirm can happen, and did! so a simple rub with sandpaper resolves. I would also suggest when installing a new string for the first time, is to try tightening the string a couple of inches from the end of the string to test whether you have sharp edges even after sanding each one before pulling it tight. I also found that the extra weight of the locking mechanism has given a little bit of neck dive, but the guitar is very light, so not an issue. Does it improve the sound quality? doubtful, but I also changed the bridge for a bone one at the same time which made a tremendous improvement.

Once installed they done a grate job my freind likes the look of his guitar with them and aays it holds tune well and are smooth

this is an excellent replacement for my Epiphone SG ,the tuners have the same holes and was easy to replace. instant difference for tuning stability.

Für eine meiner günstigen Ersatz Gitarren habe ich einen Satz neue Mechaniken gebraucht da die alten teilweise auseinander gefallen sind, sobald man versucht hat eine Seite zu stimmen. Auf gut Glück habe ich diese hier bestellt. Um eins vorweg zu sagen: es ist keinem Produkt aus der Top Preisklasse ABER man könnte deutlich schlechteres für den Preis erwarten. Sauber verarbeitet, alle benötigten Teile dabei. Der Clou für mich ist die Rändelschraube. Mit dieser lässt sich die Seite beim neu bespannen einklemmen und rutscht nicht wieder raus wenn man die ersten Drehungen macht. Warum hat das nicht jede Mechanik für Gitarren? Einfach genial. Die Übersetzung beim drehen ist ich vollkommen in Ordnung. Kaufempfehlung für den schmalen Geldbeutel
